Lake MacBride

Thanks for the MacBride info Dave. I grew up in Marion and live in Omaha now. We usually go to Squaw Creek but are actually at Palisades right now.

I would imagine, being a state park, it is open year round? Funerals and such have us in the area all times of the year.

I believe both campgrounds at Lake MacBride are open. I know the primitive side is, as I was down there last week. My brother goes to the Palisades several times a week to exercise his dog and look at deer. When I was Parks Superintendent and City Arborist in Council Bluffs, we lived at the Lewis and Clark Monument if you’re familiar with that. Good Memories.
