Awning cleaner

Hello,

Can anyone recommend a cleaner that will clean the vinyl on the Fiesta awning. There are several stubborn stains that will not come out.

Thank you.

If they are fairly small you can try a magic eraser.
I use Simple Green, full strength works wonders but may eventually do damage to the fabric. You can dilute it but I don't know by how much and still have it work, you'd have to experiment. At 6 years, mine's starting to show signs that it needs replacing soon.

Purple Power, a cleaner obtained in auto shop to clean my bikes worked well on our awning except for oak tree stains. I like the suggestion of super eraser as a possibility.

The awning manufacturer’s website has cleaning instructions. https://www.carefreeofcolorado.com/d...wning-Care.pdf

I don't touch it. Spray it on with a garden sprayer, roll it up for a while, unroll, hit it with the truck brush, rinse. Got to do it in the shade.

Very interesting: it says use soap, never detergent.
I don't have any soap, nor do I see it available at local retail outlets (i.e. H/W stores, RV stores, etc.).
Everything I have is some sort of detergent.

I guess I'll just keep using Dawn and warm water, then rinse and sun-dry thoroughly.

Dawn is gentle.
Detergent: a water-soluble cleansing agent which combines with impurities and dirt to make them more soluble, and differs from soap in not forming a scum with the salts in hard water

Dollar $tore wonder!!!

Hi: All... I've been using LA's Totally Awesome cleaner/ degreaser from the "Dollar $tore". Spray on and agitate with a brush then hose off. Dry thoroughly with a chamois and put away dry!!! Alf
