Bug Melt

Those of you who saw our trailer at Osoyoos may have noticed the bugs on the front, especially since I was too busy having fun to clean them off. When we got home, Lindy and I cleaned the trailer. We used almost a whole bottle of "Bug Melt" along with copious quantities of elbow grease. After the bug melt, and a wash, the trailer got a dose of "Perfect Detail" Spray polish. The wheels were done with "Easy Aluminum Polish". It turned out well. Here's the before and after Bug Melt photo of the top front half of the trailer.

Hi: LeonW... What did you use to get the "Elbow grease" off? Alf

Gotcha. I thought it was going to be two separate pictures.

That sure seemed obvious to me when I opened the photo.

It sure did clean up good, Leon.

Bug melting

I always use an internal application of between 48 and 72 ounces of beer to remove traces of elbow grease. This application serves to make any remaining grease invisible and assures that no additional grease will be generated that day.

How do the graphics/decals hold up to the various cleaning methods and potions?

I know that beer is one of the better choices when in Mexico (though Negra Modelo is my preference), but you could drink something with a little more body when in the US or Canada, you know.

While you are cleaning bugs off your trailer, of course.

Sadly Jim .... I understand that Budwiser / Bush has bought Negro Modelo ..... the body will certainly be reduced in the future. Actually Dos Equis ... the parent company.

I always put a coat of wax /polish on the front of my trailer before heading out on the road.
The wax / polish make bug removal much easier. Applying the wax takes less time and effort
than scraping off bugs. IMHO

Hi: All... Never thought of using beer to remove bugs from the 5.0TA. Is it like polishing metal with Coke?
Sounds like AB inBev. has been buying up breweries again. Alf
