I’ve used stuff like Instatrim and find it’s for looks and water resistance in a home. I wouldn’t consider it’s use where vibration is the main culprit. I would never use it on the roof.

My choice is Dicor Self-Leveling Sealant. To reapply, just remove what you want and replace. I inspect our roofs at least twice a year, in the spring and in October. Inspection is a good habit to prevent ceiling leaks.

I only use it on the roof where my “ugly mess” is not seen.
