Cleaning Cal Mark cover

Hi All,

A very nice Cal Mark cover came with my "new to me" 2013 19' purchase. However after this very rainy winter in the PNW, it is showing signs of moss and mildew growth. Does anyone have tips for cleaning this beast? It would be nice to clean it in place but would be concerned with using anti moss products while the trailer is underneath.

Cleaning it off the trailer would involve a lot of wrestling it this way and that while in the driveway, then there is the issue of figuring out how to hang it to dry.

Any tips would be appreciated before I try to tackle this task.

Thanks!

Per Calmark if you didn't already check their web site.

"All fabrics exposed to outdoor use should be cleaned periodically before substances such as dirt, roof particles, tree sap etc., are allowed to accumulate on the cover and become embedded in the fabric. The fabric can be cleaned without being removed from the RV. Simply hose down and clean with a mild natural soap, (if needed), in lukewarm water. Rinse thoroughly to remove soap and let air dry. Wash your cover in the late afternoon to avoid intense baking from the sun. DO NOT USE DETERGENT."

They suggest this

Thanks! Duh! I should have checked their web site first. I appreciate the research.

While I'm not personally familiar with your trailer or it's cover , I've had remarkable luck with 30 Second house Cleaner on Sunbrella products. Mold and mildew jump off the fabric. 303 is a great product, but fairly pricey. I doubt the 30 Second cleaner would harm the trailer, but it'd likely need a good coat f wax to bring back the shine.

Nice! We have friends that snowbird in Tucson and Phoenix. We will be down there either this fall or next spring as part of a SW national parks tour. Stay in touch.

Congrats on the 5.0 TA! I bet you're are excited.
