water regulator

when attaching at camp ground does the regulator go on water source first then the water filter then the hose to the camper? i cant remember just filled the tank last time and didn't bother with water hook up. i always have trouble getting a good connection without a lot of leaking....

Yes, exactly as you thought. The first thing on the faucet is the pressure regulator and everything else after.

FoxHunt, Definitely put the filter between the water source and your hose. This will keep your hose pristine. The water pressure regulator needs to go on prior to the water entering your trailer, and not a bad idea to put it after the filter to keep it clean also

I put the regulator directly on the faucet, so the water filter (if I'm using it) and the hose are after the regulator. If the water pressure is so high that it is dangerous to the trailer's plumbing, then the filter assembly and hose should be protected; on the other hand, a leak within the trailer can be a big problem but the hose and portable filter are easily replaced, so maybe they could be considered sacrificial.

I'm using a big heavy regulator (adjustable, with gauge) so I like having it supported by the faucet. A light basic regulator could go anywhere as far as support is concerned.
