When To Wax a New Escape Trailer?

Some suggest a new fiberglass trailer not be immediately waxed in order to let the gel coat cure or setup properly. Is this something I should be concerned about for my 5 week old trailer?

As an aside, I just ordered through Amazon the Meguiars M6332 Flagship Premium Marine Wax. Just yesterday I put a coat of highly rated and easy to apply Nu Finish on my tow vehicle but went with Meguiars due to some convincing posts on this site.

Thank you!

I agree it is best to allow new paint and gelcoat curing time before sealing with wax.

Mine hatched first week of Nov and I plan on first waxing with Meguiar's on Saturday. About 6 mos. Then I'll put it on schedule for fall/spring. It's more of a heat avoidance waxing schedule in AZ

Wow, that's a lot of work to wash, detail and wax a 19. Around 7 hours today, but I don't move as fast as I use to. It's so shiny now you can use the side of the trailer as a mirror for the morning shave.
Time to go camping.
