Window Shades

Two of our shades were defective shortly after we brought our 21 home and ETI arranged to have new ones sent to us. I thought we would wait a while to change out and that happened this weekend. Only been 3 years; my how time flies when you're having fun in the trailer.

Install wasn't difficult- it did require laying upside down to unhook them from the rail. What was interesting to me was their instructions when storing the trailer:

"Shades should be kept in the closed or up position when not in use, to maintain pleat retention and minimize dirt and soil build-up. Do not store shades in the down position. This may cause some loss of pleat retention if the shades are not operated on a consistent basis."

"NOTE: If your recreational vehicle must be stored for an extended period of time, store shades in the up position and cover your windows with additional protection (I.E. Cut out cardboard).

This was how one of our original shades looked after one month from pick-up:

2 of ours haven’t held up either - not sure how to deal with them?

Thankyou Ross the big job for me today . Roll up the blinds and cut some reflex to put in the windows . Was noticing the shades kind of sinking and losing the pleats . Nothing broken though for us Pat
