winterizing fresh water tank

I'm preparing to blow out the water lines in my 17B, and I prefer not putting antifreeze in the fresh water tank, but the only drain is the side spigot, so there is always an inch or two of water left. should I be concerned with this? will it cause a problem leaving this water in the tank? Also, pump is very loud, has anyone wrapped with insulation to muffle?
thanks!

To ease your mind you might consider driving the trailer up on a couple pieces of wood on its curb side, to tip the fresh water tank toward the spigot so more water can drain out. Otherwise seems to me your more biggest concern is water freezing in the lines and especially at the toilet valve. Blowing out the lines should cover that issue. I've never done any extra insulating anywhere so can't imagine it's necessary.

Hi: riverplace... I've never added pink anti freeze to the fresh water tank. I'd rather use a 1.75 Ltr. bottle of cheapest Vodka. It's already 60% water, but more palatable. LoL
To quiet our water pump I added a 3' length of potable water reinforced hose, between the pump and Pex pipes. This really cuts down on the resonant noise transmitted through the water lines. Worked for me!!! Alf

Water expands when it freezes. In a pipe or valve, it has nowhere to go. In your fresh tank, there is a vast amount of room for it to expand. Think pail of water left outside over winter. No problem.

I suggest doing a bleach sanitation cycle to kill the cooties before you store it for the winter.

I don't bother with sanitizing now, since I'd still want to do it in the Spring.

I agree, and I do it again in the spring.

Yes, I know, Leon and Dave, boots and suspenders...
