17 ft Escape - Photos

Ok - Here's our Escape..

and how to post photos..

1) Pictures should be around 800 x 600 px
2) If they are too big use a photo editor to compress down.. The filesize should be less 350k
3) Select "Addtional Option" in the post and then "Attach" the file via "Browse"
4) Post the topic
5) That should do it.. the system will upload and handle the thumbnail

Re: 17 ft Escape - Photos

Hi, just looked at your photo and it's so inviting. A bit off-topic, but where did you get the carrier on the top of your car. I want one of those but wasn't sure where to look. Plan on driving my Subaru Outback to Vancouver this spring to pick out my Escape and need the extra space.

Do you have only the one photo or more? If more, I can't figure out how to see them. Thanks! carol

Carol..

There's just the one photo posted .. But we have more on our websiite Link to the post: http://zimodecast.com/?p=86.. It covers our maiden voyage with the escape.. The cargo box is from Sears.. called an x-cargo.. We really liked it, got it expressly for the trip up there to BC to pick up the trailer.. I think we paid $200 for it ( definitely more cost effective than a Thule or Yakima.. about 1/2 the cost..)

Regarding the carrier atop Jeff's rig, I have something similar, a canoe. Cost a lot more than $200, but I loaded it atop my old Subaru and then stuffed camp chairs, sleeping bags, tarps, PFDs and all sorts of stuff up in there. Of course you have to tie the stuff in, at least at the ends, to make sure you don't lose it on the road. Once, I was so efficient packing it that I didn't think I'd ever be able to get it all back for the return trip. Canoe keeps it dry and safe since nobody in their right mind would do that would they?

Looks like a nice place. When were you there? Did you need reservations?
