Saint Dave showed up this morning after 7 days and 7000km. Need to adjust the hitch a bit.

Peter & Laura in Michigan. Due to the way they were loaded on Dave's backup rig he came here first.

Dave was going to come to michigan first but when he was in south dakota he had to search for a path around projected storms. I would have had to meet him in ohio with a hi low to take the 5ta off. remove ours and load the 5ta back on. He is in New York now and will unload tomorrow morning if he doen't have to drive with to much headwinds. The trip started out late because he hit a moose and had to make some changes with the tow vehicle. Looking forward to tomorrow. Thanks for the pictures.

That's got to be fun trying to backup a 5.0 TA trailer onto the bed of the delivery truck. I wonder if they use a fork truck to load it ? Bob how did Dave on load your 5.0 TA did he use his tow vehicle?

Peter, The hitch on the 5.0 was facing to the rear (which your 21 is now), used the hand winches on the flat be to move the 5.0 far enough back where I could back into the king pin, had to raise the truck a few inches as the trucks trailer hitch would hit the back of the flat bed. Once we got it hooked up we pulled the 5.0 far enough to attach the ramps. Wasn't a big deal but took an hour or 2. Harder was pulling the 21 off, turning it around and backing it back onto the flatbed. A neighbor with a forklift attachment for his tractor used it to hold up the 21's hitch while the truck was pulled out from under it. Then just backed it in using the ball on the back of the tractor. Took some doing as they were being very careful. By the way, what's a high/low?
Mark, ETI used a forklift to guide the 5.0 onto the back of the flatbed. Similar to how they turned around the 21.
Both operations were made more difficult as Dave didn't have his normal rig. Interesting process but no fun in today's heat.

Bob, in michigan we call a fork lift "hi low" Talked to dave about a hour ago and he possibly needs 6 -2x8x8. I still do not understand how he will use them. He talks about me backing my van up the delivery trailer to hook on the 21 and pull it off. He says they are running into bad weather again in buffalo ny. High winds and rain. Should see the trailer sometime tomorrow. Not sure of the time yet. Depends how far he gets tonight. This looks like its turning into the delivery from hell. pete

Dave has a tough job, my two deliveries each took well over a week, in the summer it is storms and in the winter it is snow/ice. But I'm not aware of any damaged Escapes under his tutelage, he is really a nice guy who is very careful..

took delivery today. we are happy to finally have the 21 home. It took three hours to unload but that's a memory we will always have. Felt sorry for dave. he only got 1 1/2 hours sleep before we started to unload. great guy. had no problems with the process and now now we can begin to enjoy the the best trailer on the market.

you are right about the bugs. Had them on both ends of the trailer. Got them off tonight. I found i was missing a nob to close the vent cover on the fridge. I think im going to put a layer of wax on before i take it down the road. I am trying to download a couple of pictures from my phone. Having a little trouble.
