There has been a lot of severe weather this winter - could have either been a brief delay in a shipment being able to get to ETI, or weather delays at the manufacturer's factory. Pretty common for auto and RV manufacturers to use "just in time" ordering to some degree rather than keeping big stocks of parts on hand that have to be stored. Works great and is more efficient...until there's a rare weather delay (or problem with a parts manufacturer).

Lots of severe weather, road closures, dams and levee failures, etc. from Nebraska through Wisconsin. Many east-west routes are affected. We've gotten photos from friends in NE and WI showing the extent, including several totally isolated communities.

Most of those who ordered recently, are aware of the change in window manufacturers, and that the new manufacturing company is not making the small thermal window for the bathroom. The non-thermal windows appear to be framed.

So we get a conglomerate hodgepodge of different window types. Hopefully not too visible from the curbside, entrance approach—for the bathroom window. Otherwise, it’s going to stick out; undesirably. If you want the same looks, all around, then order the non-thermal. But you might have a bit of condensation, or issue with heating and cooling in extreme temperatures.

Glad I didn’t order small windows for the street side (if the appearance is off).
The photo of your trailer outside appears to show your bathroom window to be frameless.

I agree, it is frameless, but you can see the black gasket underneath which makes it appear to be framed. Not sure if it is because it is the bath window, non tinted or what. Need to see what the other dual paned windows look like for comparison. My build says, "Additional, frameless, non thermal window"....

The appearance of the "frameless" windows depends greatly on lighting (interior and exterior) and the angle of view, especially due to reflections. For examples, see the various images of LCI's windows; within the same series, different photos show very different results. I'm sure that the single pane ("non-thermal") and dual pane ("thermal") windows - all of the same "frameless" design - will look fine together.

I was just looking back at our 5.0TA build pics from December and saw something we had overlooked - the kitchen window is missing and just has plastic taped over it. I'm guessing that temporary out of stock occurrences of windows are not an unheard of thing - in our case this photo at the end of the build process was taken on Dec. 6, well ahead of schedule for our Dec. 28 production date. Guess things really are slower for them in the winter months if they were running that far ahead then, and now are barely getting them completed by the pickup dates.

Sorry for the confusion I caused; my buildsheet does indeed say...
“Opening Window in Bathroom (Frame-less Thermal).”

At first glance, the wide, black border surrounding the window looked to my old eyes, like a frame. From what you folks are telling me, that black surround is behind the glass, not in front of it.

No, Ours was just conceived. Paula wanted Terra-Cotta graphics. I received my first photos yesterday.

Congrats on the hatching! I think we're roughly a week after you (May 2nd) so i guess we can expect photos later this week or next.

Ours is officially done but apparently not cleaned so we have not yet received our completed photos.

Jim, When will you be in Chilliwack? Our completion date is the 23rd, but we scheduled our orientation for early the 25th. We are staying overnight the 24th. Either way, we both will be at the Rally.

Our orientation is 5/21, Tuesday @8:30 am, hook up in Sumas and return to BW. We then head to Osoyoos. Hoping to arrive in Chilliwack on Sunday afternoon. Staying at BW. This gives me Monday to inspect and give them some Umbra shelves and teak bath handles to install. Since this is our 4th Escape, I do not expect orientation to take too long.

I got both at Amazon, you have to have the bath wall reinforced for the teak towel bar though.

Congratulations Jim. Even for a Escape Veteran like yourself it's still got to be exciting. I see you are getting the optional window over the drawer stack. Good call. That's on the top of my list of my favorite options we have on ours.

Yes, a lot of forethought went into this unit, I hoping after 3 Escapes this will be it for us.
