Can you tell how it's mounted? I would also love to see some more pictures of it and of your fridge closed and open showing the whole thing in the cabinet.
Thanks

The location is only a problem if you drive into something, and yeah it will break away. Emphasis on break. If you break the Jack antenna you will also break the MaaxAir Vent and whatever else is up there. I can't post a pic of the fridge open or else Marry will issue me a citation

Dang, that is one nice looking fridge Dave. I'll bet Reace and the crew are happy campers to be rid of all the issues with the 8 series.

That's a GoPower solar controller panel.

The new fridge looks like the the same stuff as in the sunblockers. I like the look of the old one better...........

This "It's Friday" thread for the second gen Escapes has lots of useful info. It seems the original "It's Friday" thread for the classics was a cool place for people to simply share their photos of their trailer in production. Should a new thread be started that would be devoted to production pics of second generation trailers, or should useful info about trailer weight be in a separate thread. I know I am going out on a limb here especially since I am a newbie.

That would make sense to me. Moderators - anyone want to move some posts?

I did the best I could, quoting makes it difficult. It will be up to the posting members to pay attention what thread they're posting in. Find most of the conversation from the It's Friday - 2017 and beyond thread here: http://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f1...tml#post146869

Congrats Pete & Nancy
and thanks for posting the pics.
interesting to see the now mandatory little tiny step up into mandatory slightly higher dinette floor. (due to frame/etc changes that needed to be done)
keep the pics coming. awesome.

A flat door looks good to me, as i know it then allows a bigger & different fridge thru, and it also may well seal better than a custom made curved door.
according to posts i have read, on this awesome user forum.
excited about our forthcoming 2017 21'.....

There are a number of advantages, most of which have been discussed, like a more conventional door jamb, parts and hardware, and a better seal on the door. But, I'm kind of on your side regarding the appearance. I like the look of the curved door because it has an 'aircraft' look to it. I suppose the flat sides and door will grow on me.
I think having a door wide enough to fit the Dometic Americana far outweighs my preference for the curved door and sides. But of course, they could have designed a wider door and kept the curve.

it may also mean you can see out the windows easier without paying extra for the raised floor/benches like in the Escape 19 with the dinette in the front...
