Whaddaya mean, Gabi. It is so beautiful here in Calgary with all the new snow falling. I think I will go for a ski out the back door.

I've noticed over the years that there is mostly more snow up in the north of Calgary .......can you actually still get your back door open ? ( I like brown in the city - let it snow in the hills )

I could only find one contour marking on Nose Hill on a topographic map...don't even know what the intervals are. I know what real hills are.

It's actually a pretty good sized hill in the north west of Calgary , with trails , great views . Jim and Lisa are pretty lucky to be so close - they are probably really enjoying themselves - maybe doing a little cross country skiing . Not too far from Canada Olympic Park - the 88 Olympic Ski Jump venue .

Oh yes, it's been years since I've been to Calgary so had to look it up on Google Maps. Just teasing...from one who lives in the "foothills" of the Cascades and knows when to call a mountain a mountain.

I must! We are definitely quite fortunate to have live a 5 minute walk on a path along a green strip from our back gate to Nose Hill. One of the two of us at least is up there on average 5 times a week. It is Jasper approved, as it was Ben approved before him. No mountain, but going up an down on foot, skis or a bike is certainly a good workout.

I know Eastern Canadians call the hills out their mountains, but to me they are just bill hills. Now, the Rockies an hour west of us are mountains.

When I lived in Calgary it was in Hunterbrook Place which backed onto the ravine on the north border of Huntington Hills. We had a rear attached garage with a deck on top with a spectacular view of Nose Hill. Out the gate onto the path and through the culvert under 14th street and we were on Nose Hill. Great for walking with the dogs and not hard to go for 2 hours following the pathway and trails.

Great location too. It certainly is a bonus to live in a city this size and be able to access an 11 square kilometre park right out your back door.

Picking 'er up!!

We finally made it up to Chilliwack a week later due to "weather issues" and had a great orientation-so much new stuff! Will definitely have a lot of manual reading to do! Everyone was great & Dennis helped us get ready to roll & many good tips; Mike delivered her over the border & helped us hitch up & engaged our family members that made it there too. It was a fun day & very sunny! (what a difference a week makes!) Came back Sat morning/afternoon with some rain & Seattle traffic-but it all went great; was even able to get it parked in our front yard-YaY! Now to get it stocked and ready for spring camping

YAY! So happy for you two. Looking forward to seeing your pristine trailer.

Hey, I had almost the same view of my trailer going across at Sumas and that's probably the same rest stop I stopped at for a nap on the way home. Wasn't raining for me, though. Just lots colder.

Yeah, Spring NOG coming up!

Look what arrived in Alabama today!

More photos when we get some of the road grime washed off and better lighting. Delivered by Torrey (3rd photo) - great guy!! He had one more on board his delivery trailer, a 19' to drop off on his way back through Oklahoma.

Hey War Eagle, looking good. Congratulations on the arrival of your new 21. DW wants to know what Formica you have and what the fabric that is. I like the style and so does she.
