One More Sleep!

We received our final photos today and will be picking up our 17B tomorrow. We were not able to see a few of the options either in person or photos before ordering so I will try and attach a few photos in the hopes it will help others. In particular we have the permanent bed and the 2 burner cooktop that is rotated 90 degrees. We have also elimated the wardrobe. I am certain our wild colour choices will not appeal to most but we are happy.

A big thank you to all who take the time and energy to post. It is such a great help in deciding what will work and not work for all of us and our individual styles of camping. We have had so much fun throughout the whole process and feel fortunate to have found such a wonderful company as ETI and a great positive community in this forum.

I tried to upload multiple photos but it didn't seem to work so I just put a few in an album for now under my profile.

Do you use an IPad? Only one photo at a time will load.
Love the floor! So you sent them that flooring?

Congratulations. I LOVE your colors! We're going with a bright lagooon blue and some wild pillows. I figure our house is sedate but the trailer can be fun! Actually, eventually I would like to have a fun colored house too, but that is for later. Enjoy!

Fabulous! Also like the lost wardrobe; really opens that front area up.

Oh what a fun choice for you both.

I can see the right bedding would really set it off.

Love the extended bench on the front dinette! You are going to love the open space. A mere 6" reduction on our 17B closet made a huge difference for us. We would have deleted it completely only if the closet wasn't crucial for the gaucho support. I am so going to do that in my next 17B (in about... 14 years?)

Congrats!

I really love the colors you chose, and the floor goes perfect with it!
Reminds me of 50s diner or soda shop!

Hey I bet you've got your trailer by now! We have just decided ( yesterday) to ungrade ( should I say 'upcomfort') from our trusty windproof Eureka tent, and are heading to Chilliwack next week to put in our order..very likely the 17b as well. I do like your modifications very much. The checkered floor and the bench seat in a bright colour echo me back to a vintage 1950's trailer feeling. I found your photos easily under your profile.

Thanks to everyone for such warm wishes. Our orientation went well. Although it was tiring and a little overwhelming for us who are new to rving we were suprised at how much we remembered when we got home. We are certain that watching the orientation video numerous times over the past few weeks made the whole thing easier.
Our short drive home (an hour and a half) went well. We are using our Jeep Liberty to tow with and were happy. We may opt for a different vehicle in the future but for now it works.
Our Escape received a warm welcome at home. The family had chalked arrows down the road and into our driveway and sketched out a landing pad with "Escape Here" with balloons all around and even champagne!
We will comment later on how we feel about some of our modifications when we actually get out camping. What we can say is that we are soooo sure we made the right decision in choosing an Escape. The quality has surpassed what we were expecting.
