There already is an ongoing thread that shares of photos of the current model. Lots of great photos in there.

I'll second the Friday link, but if you want to see a bunch of 21 build photos all on one page, I made one here.

I second starting a new thread. I think it worthwhile, for searching purposes, to have a new thread for each model year.

They are the exact same trailer though, with a new model year attached being the only difference. Most folks peruse looking for ideas, and if we muddle that up with more threads, it can be tougher to search.

Might have to disagree on that as it seems ETI is always changing something--maybe not the mold but there are minor differences every year as they improve this or that.

Sure they do, but these changes are done as deemed desirable, not following the calendar year. My bet is most people read the thread to get design and modification ideas coming out of the Escape shop.

But if more folk like to see more and more threads on the same thing, that is not a terrible thing.

Changes seem to come for the sake of improvement and not year. With Jim on this one.

Yes, there would already be changes with the new generation. I only wish that Escape had compiled a list of when they made changes to each model. That would have been invaluable. People can try to note here what is different on the 2018.

It is often not known what year a change was made, never mind the month, so even having it noted by year would be a big improvement in the information out there. The tanks in the 19', for instance, have been changed again and again, but the years?

There have been hundreds of changes by now and not even a record by year, that we have on this forum anyway. People list their Escapes for sale and do not even know correct information themselves. And buyers believe it is the information on the present site when the model year in question was different.

And it already has 176 pages with 1753 posts! That's a lot to browse through. Granted, it's the same production models, but it might not be a bad idea to create a new thread for each calendar year between production changes. Might be easier to keep up with new options and former options that have become standard as time goes by. Either way, a good search should help you find what you're looking for....

Are we going to do year and model ( 17A, 17B, 19, 19C, 21, 5.0, 5.0TA )? Starting to look busy. Model differences makes more sense to me that threads by year.

I have to agree with Glenn,
When we were researching models, features, and options, we spent a lot of time trying to find specific model photos, while pouring through the others. The year-by-year delineation does not, I believe, have much meaning, because ETI does not generally do things by calendar year, but by when they recognize an opportunity to improve the trailer or their production scheme. Classic (aircraft style door) vs. 2nd Generation (more squared appearance with flat door) is an important distinction. (2 cents ended!)

Perhaps the moderators could go back through the build threads and separate earlier posts into trailer model threads.

I vote for not creating a new thread for each calendar year. I think this would only make it harder to find info by spreading such around based on an artificial criteria (model year) that Escape doesn’t even follow. There is no such thing as a 2018 model. There will be units produced in 2018, but Escape does not adhere to model years. 2018 is only a production year.

Keep it all in one thread. Pictures and posts can easily be searched for a specific timeframe if desired as all posts are time-date stamped, duh.

Breaking it up by actually distinct models (17, 19, 21 etc.) makes way more sense if one combined thread is too cumbersome.
