Table Rock Indian Point C.O.E

Took me a little while today because of nasty weather all through western Missouri so I drove around the big weather. She never laid a glove on me. Although 510 miles is a pretty long day for the first travel day of the year. But a great site and nice camp hosts.

If you strap a motor on the back bumper you can get out in the lake. They have a nice launch and I hear the crappie fishing is pretty good right now.

We had tornado reports for the eastern side of New Mexico last night. Weather's getting so unpredicatable you got to keep alert no matter where you want to Escape.

I do not travel without a weather radio and the emergency weather on my phone.

Be safe Myron

I have an Eaton weather radio I bought years ago. There’s no digital to it. It runs on three rechargeable AA batteries. It also has a side crank that will allow you to listen for a few minutes after a couple minutes of cranking. Also an AM/FM radio and the National Weather Service forecast for your area. The crank can also charge your cell phone if you crank long enough. The weather alert function stays silent until a local warning is issued and then it will wake you up out of a deep rem sleep and once you realize you’re not under a nuclear attack and crawl out from under the table (from grade school training) you can hear the warning. It has has an earphone Jack so I can privately listen to a little classical music before I go to sleep. It calms my jangled nerves.

Are there any "no overnight parking" signs at that place? It looks useful, maybe.

I have base station style weather radios for my home, but, I use this one in my Escape trailer. Nice compact size. In addition to the audible weather alert the light strobes too.
