U-shaped dinette photos

Hi all,
I wanted to share a few photos of our u-shaped dinette since I appreciated those I was able to see when deciding on this option. I really love this configuration...it makes the trailer feel so spacious and roomy, and that space becomes much more versatile. It is a very cozy, loungy area and works great for us as a family of four. (We keep the front dinette permanently down as a bed for our children.)

One bonus I didn't foresee was that I get a huge amount of counterspace to my right when the table is slid forward towards the galley...really great when preparing meals inside!

As you can see, we also chose the 6.7 cu. ft. fridge which is massive, but fantastic for our family. We had room for most everything we needed for a week in the fridge and freezer.

These two options, plus the solar panel are our definite favorites. We love our new trailer!!

Hi:

We are very new at this and having looked at a new 19' Escape trailer, the picture above looks like the sink/stove area is reversed (on the opposite side) of the one we saw. Are we missing something? Is the picture you posted above an Escape 19?

Yes, this is a new Escape 19...and it is the standard stove/sink configuration on the "passenger" side of the trailer. Perhaps this is what confused you...on ours, we opted to replace the rear permanent bed with the U-shaped dinette than can be converted to a bed. So in the photos, you are looking towards the REAR of the trailer. I guess I should have clarified that because I have seen a photo of a front dinette that was converted to a U-shape. Does that help?

Beautiful!! Can you tell what color Formica you have?

You should not rely on the color you think you see on your computer monitor. Too many variables from the shooting of the pic to turning on your computer.

The Formica is called Beluga Beige...even though it's not really beige at all, but medium gray with tiny white and beige circles. I found the sample at Home Depot.

We have been looking for one for a while with no luck.

We've never had to store wine. Not that I drink it myself.

To those who asked about the spice rack...I ordered it on Amazon and it is called the Spectrum Euro Wall Mount Spice Rack. It fits perfectly in the space above the stove, and I did have that wall reinforced so I could screw into it. (Although it felt like the plywood they used didn't extend all the way to the outer edge of the trailer....both with the spice rack and the paper towel holder I installed on the other side of it my drill punched through too quickly and easily there.)

I use the spice rack to store tea boxes, Starbucks Via boxes, salt and pepper, and a couple of spices that I am not concerned about leaving outside of a cool, dark place.

Not a problem, as long as you keep the beer in a cool, dark place. Salt and pepper need to be at hand.

I notice your table has double legs, is it also movable like the regular table in the 19" Also what is the approximate size of the rear seat bench in your set up. I assume this makes your table that much smaller, but it does not appear so in the pictures. I'm thinking of doing the same in my new 21'.

Hi Jim,
I am having a u dinette built in the front of my 19 as we speak. I opted for an 18" wide front bench with a 2" back cushion. This is the same size as the stock u dinette in the 5. 0 according to Reace. He can make the front bench any width you want within reason. The table will have double pedestal and sliding top. Your dinette area is probably larger than the 19, which could allow for a wider rear bench and still have the length for comfy seating on the side benches.

When you get some pictures, please post. I'm contemplating having a different support for the table, it is a PIA to take up and down by your self and I always travel with it down. Something like this Wise Adjustable Pedestal With Slide - Gander Mountain

It comes in different heights, just wanted to show as sample. I also notice that in both the 19 and 5th wheel there is a "step" at the rear dinette, but in the 21' the floor is flat the entire length? This could affect the height.
