I was so stinkin' nearsighted, perfect focus without glasses was at about 3 inches from the end of my nose. I was so glad when the eye dr said (2 years ago) my cataracts were bad enough to have the lenses replaced. The procedures were easy and not uncomfortable. Now I only need glasses for reading and close-up stuff; the distortion from my old "thicker than the bottom of a bottle" lenses is a thing of the past.
