Getting Insurance on 2020 Escape 19 Model???

Hello,

I am trying to get a quote for my new 19. They keep asking for the model. I tell them over and over again the make is Escape Trailers and the model is an Escape 19. They keep confusing it with the US Escape camper. They keep asking me how many slide outs...ugh. I am in the process of paperwork for export and title etc. Should I wait for the paperwork or can someone here assist me in the US as to model. Thank-you!!

When we switched to Progressive for auto insurance we also switched the trailer insurance. When I spoke with Progressive they didn't have our trailer info in their database. The woman I was dealing with went to the Escape website as we were talking and figured out what she needed from there. I was quite impressed.

Hi Chowdagirl,
When I visited my insurance agents' office, I included images of the ETI 19 for coverage, as there is a domestic (US) manufacturer of a stick built which uses the "Escape" name . The coverage form still came back wrong. It seems that the database used by my chosen ins. co. doesn't include foreign products. So....Back to the office, with more pictures, and kill an hour while the agent fights with corporate. Two weeks later, correct docs in the mail. Don't give up, go at it like a terrier!

YES...one would think with all the trailers here in the US that it would be in the database!! I went through Good Sam as we are members. I guess you just have to get the right agent!

I'm having the same issue! Do you mind sharing the name or info for the agent with Good Sam that helped you?

When we bought our first Escape and went to our Insurance agent . The first question was “where was the trailer made? We told her Chiliwack. In about a minute she said “Here it is” and we were out of there in about 10 minutes. Our statement of what the trailer cost agreed with a table she had within a couple hundred dollars. We had one claim in 7 years and had no hassle at all. Good or bad I have all my insurance with State Farm and have been with them for 14 years. No complaints so far.

Same think happened with our State Farm agent. Our first trailer was insured in a heartbeat and this one even faster.
