Golden retriever in 19' ?

A friend is looking at a 19' Escape since they like our 17' but would like to know if anyone with 19' travels with a dog the size of a golden retriever. Anyone out there in Escape Land travel with their dog? Is there enough open floor space for two people and a medium-large dog?

I cannot speak for a dog but us three adults travel fine in a 19. We have spent six weeks in it for each of the past two years. There has been a little bit of whimpering from my son Peter but usually a rawhide chew will keep him happy.

We have a greyhound who fits nicely into our Escape 13. She is quite accommodating in sharing the trailer with us!

She does not sleep on the floor: she shares one of the beds.

we have a german sheppard and there is some sidestepping but it is not too bad.

We travel with 2 lab's, a chocolate and a black lab- Hershey and Franklin. It is not the trailer but your tow vehicle that may be an issue with dogs. No problem in the Escape 19, one sleeps by bed, the other under dinette.

We are a family of three humans and one 12 lb dog who feels its his god given right to sleep on a bed. He even has his own camping chair because apparantly he can't sit on the ground when camping. We find the 19 ft very comfortable for all of us. I would imaginge two larger dogs would take up most of the floor space.

Two adults, two boys (8 and 12), and one German Shepherd, all in a 17B, for up to a month at a time. I think the 19 may be too big!

Should be a relative 'piece of cake' - wife and I plus 2 100# furry friends (note the pic) in a 17B.

We always take our dog. At night, her doggie bed goes in the door well, but she's developing a pretty good stealth sneak-up-on-the-bed nighttime move while we sleep.

We travelled with our 3 adults and a medium sized dog...She curled up close to the dinette...she had to move if someone went to the washroom during the night but other than that no problems...

We were camping at Englishman River Falls on Vancouver Island last summer and the couple next to us had two cats with them. They had some kind of large enclosure system that the cats could move about in. Did not see it up close so not sure of the details of the enclosure.

I guess it depends on how well the cats travel in a vehicle. Our cats never liked the vehicle because they knew they were on the way to the vet to get poked!

I love your description of your dog sneaking up to the bed. Our dog has developed some of those same skills, only its at home...I guess maybe she's practicing for when we finally get an Escape!!
