Window and screen removal for cleaning

2004, 17b. Would like to remove windows and screens for cleaning and some weatherstriping replacement. Do I need to unscrew inside metal frame to gain access for removal? Or am I missing something that is an easier removal process.

If you remove the inside screws the window may fall outside. These windows are called compression in that there is an exterior and interior ring that holds the assembly together and tightening all the screws is how it is attached.
