Every time I've posted about 3M Command hooks, I've said read and save the instructions for removal. Those that do that have no issues.

Mike- for the window reach out to Dave Warren (partsandservice@escape.com) for a window. Theirs come with a foam washer vs. using butyl tape and it will be less $ and way faster than Hehr (aka Lippert).
