It’s a crapshoot and everybody wants 8-10 the hard way. More opinions than trailers.

I'll take that on a trade. Plus, I'll include Free Delivery.

That BMW is one of my all time favourite cars. Can't afford the real thing but I do have a 1/43 scale model in my rather vast model car collection

You need a friend like mine. He loves having a BMW and has owned several used ones. I've learned lot's about them, usually because he's working on one and explaining what the latest problem is while muttering about the cost of parts.

I have never owned a BMW, just admire them. My nephew had a BMW and he said BMW stands for Break My Wallet.

When he returns my tools that he borrowed for his latest repair job I'll be sure to use that expression on him.

I worked as a mechanic in a German car repair shop in the 70's. One day someone came in, inquiring about repair costs for Porsche's and BMW's. My boss's response: " If you have to ask how much, you can't afford one."

Non-trailer example. We just sold our 2 year old Toyota RAV4 Hybrid to a BMW dealer outright for $31 more than we originally paid for it! Not as a trade-in, but for the price shown on Kelly Blue Book. Weird..........

Those 507s were 100% hand made, so body parts weren't interchangable, even the optional removable hardtop only fits the car it was made for. amazingly, out of about 250 total made, something like 200 are still in existance. In 1955, it was a /very/ fast car, with a 3.3L overhead valve V8, it did 0-60 in 11 seconds, and had a top speed around 120 MPH... sure, any econobox today can beat that but for the 50s that was insanely fast.

In the Pinto era, it was 'Found On The Road Dead'.

Me too. Best tow vehicle I've ever owned. I'm a pretty conservative driver on the street but a couple of times, maybe wearing some bulky boots, I've accidently stomped on the gas pedal. Love those twin turbos, they put a smile on my face.

To me, the whine of the turbos reminds me of the early days with 2 cycle motors. I prefer the deep growl of dual cheery bomb exhausts and a big v-8, where you could hear the engine lopping at idle, waiting for the gas infusion.
I received more tickets for my loud exhausts than for speeding way back....

Probably 50 terms that today’s high schoolers will never know or hear.
Cherry Bomb, Glass packs, headers, lake pipes and that’s Just a few from the exhaust system. Remember Resonators? Hope you’re doing well.
