We went a couple of years ago, before we had our Escape, but just for the day. (Since we're in Ventura Co., it's a short drive.) There were a few Escapes, and then a whole variety of other small trailers, and a bunch of really nice folks. It was a fun, and informative, day.

It's about 125 mi. from Tehachapi (via San Francisquito Cyn road), then CA-126 to Ventura, then up CA-33 to either Casitas Vista/Santa Ana Rd (@ fwy's end), or continue up CA-33 to MiraMonte, then left on CA-150(Baldwin Rd).


P.S. Since we were there just for the day, we parked outside the front gate and walked in, so it was free. (Always a good consideration!)

Thanks for your post and the tips! We had previously planned to do a day visit to look at some Casita trailers (which we now feel will be too small) but since have discovered Escape so are hoping to see some there. We were going to drive over on Friday and spend a couple nights at the Ventura Naval Base (I'm retired Navy so have lodging privileges), and visit the rally on Saturday morning.

We have also arranged to see a couple of Escape trailers in San Luis Obispo County (Ross in Los Osos being one of them) in late August.

And we just discovered there is at least one Escape in our community of Bear Valley Springs so hoping to take a gander at one this week!

So that should give us an idea whether an Escape will meet our needs as we'll get to see a variety of different models. We are discovering that Escape owners are a friendly bunch who are willing to give their time to "show and tell" their trailers. Thanks to you all!
