2013 Virginia Escape Rally

When: Thursday, August 8 - Sunday, Aug. 11 (departure)
Where: Luray Koa - Country Waye - Luray, VA
Why: Because we can't make it to Osoyoos.
For Reservations Call: 1-800-562-2790 - tell them you are with the Virginia Escape Rally.

Luray KOA | Camping in Virginia | KOA Campgrounds

Like many here on the east coast, I cannot take enough time from work to attend the wonderful Escape Rally 2013 Osoyoos. Believe me, its on my top list of things I must do. So, since the Escape community is growing quickly on the east side of the Mississippi, several of us have discussed an Escape Mid Atlantic Rally (or Escape East Coast Rally) tradition.

Anyone interested in a rally in Virginia, please consider attending the Virginia Escape Rally in Luray. The campground is beautiful and quiet. If interested, call the 1-800 number listed above, tell then you are part of the Virginia Escape Rally, and then let me know what space you have been assigned. I am in site #69. Sites 62-70 overlook the mountains and small valley. They are nicely shaded and quite large.

If we get enough interest, I'll ask the campground if we can hold a pot luck in their Pavillion on Friday night.

Hope to see you there!

PS This will be my inaugural trip in my new Escape 19'!

I'm still a tent camper, but have a deposit in for a 19' to be completed by the end of the year. This would be an excellent opportunity to see all those great options instead of reading about them on the forum. Let me see if I can make this work. Thanks for all the work to make this happen.

The campground has some nice tent sites as well. It'll be a great opportunity to see at least 2 Escape 19s!

Hope you can make it!

Hi: ColoRockiesFan... Sorry our Aug. Vacation is booked for the end of the month...but next year we'll have it on the radar. Captmath and HokieEscape are close by so there's a couple of 5.0's. Alf

So far all I see is two 19' Escapes. Is that it?
I'd be interested in bringing my 17' Bigfoot if I knew this was really going to fly. Always looking for rallies in the Atlantic region.

Walt,
At the rate Escape is selling units here on the East side of the Mississippi, I'm sure
there will more. I'm aware of at least 5 more units delivered or will be soon over here in the past 3 months.

Next year we'll pick a more favorable time and organize much earlier. I'm partial to the fall ... Much cooler... and gorgeous!

Definitely......I'd rather camp from October to April, when it's empty and quiet.

Well golly,
I just checked and it seems Harrisonburg/Shenandoah KOA ( 10 miles away from this KOA) is open year round. Maybe someone could check them out in August. We can then have us a winter Escape meet. The nice thing about KOA's, if you need to cancel due to weather, you only lose $10 as long as you give them 48 hour notice. So winter storms are easily handled.

Yes, that is like being in a nudist colony and told not to look, without my Escape I'd rather not be exposed to them until I have mine, again.

I'll try to check it out when I'm out that way. Thanks!
