This was the first trailer rally we have attended. Lindy and I both had a great time. It was fun meeting people and matching faces to the various people on this forum. We got to see a lot of trailers, and now Lindy has lots of decorating ideas (Thanks Earline!) It reminds us a lot of the tandem bicycle rallies we have attended. Lot of folks with similar interests getting together to share their passion. Tammy and Reace, along with a many other people, put a great deal of effort into making the rally a success. One attendee, who has an Escape on order, couldn't believe all the things that Escape does for their owners, or how Reace walked around asking if people had any issues with their trailer. Thanks to everyone at ETI for making this rally a success.

Yep, rallies are great fun. I'm sure the Escape Rally would be even more. We'll be there in 2016. I'm submitting the vacation paperwork in 2 weeks to make sure.

In the meantime we've got three rallies here in Texas (Bluebonnet 2016 being the last one) which we plan to attend before that. Now, how do I get all that time off?

I'm not sure if this person still handles issues at Nk'Mip but she assisted us last year. Here is her email: Sandra Falkus <SFalkus@campingosoyoos.com>.

Good luck,
Kathie

It wasn't just Doug. 2/3s of the rally attendees seemed to have an agenda to convince me to retire.

Alf, your voice was heard, and noted, last year. The message then was similar.

I'm slow to understand the message at times, Alf. Or, so it seems.

I will at least be ramping down over the next couple years, likely dropping employees, and just picking up the odd job here and there, something that gives me lots of time off in between.

Full retirement by 60 would be nice.

Hi: Jim Bennett... Retirement for me seems to be "The odd job here and there". Alf

But you will have aged by then too. I think I have to resign to never getting to be as old as you.

As most of us retirees know as will Jim when he finally retires, there are many ways to spend money while working which you don't do when retired. In Jim's case he won't have to run that big truck anymore. He already has some savings now like not having to visit the barber

For a while, I will likely only semi-retire, so may need to keep the big truck. However, I am considering just dumping the Pilot instead. It is no good for work, and I can use the F-350 whenever I need to tow. I took it to Osoyoos, and actually got better mileage than I have in the past with the Pilot. Not as good for destination driving while the trailer is in the campground though.

I have amortized the cost of the hair trimmer and electricity for my hair cuts over the last 15 years, and it now works out to being less than $0.15 per cut, with the average price going down as the trimmer ages.
