Thanks Doug. We've "hung out" before without much of a problem so should be fine. Morning Buns ... okay, I'll have to bring some as I keep hearing about them but (don't hate me) have never tried them. I now have it on my "checklist".

We just snagged site A21 from 10/6-10/9. After being trailer-less for months there is sweet anticipation in planning this fall trip. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Wow, things are sure getting booked up according to the Oregon Park folks. I went through a list of almost a dozen before I booked one.

Anyway, Jim and Lisa (Jasper too) will be in A17 Oct 5th for 5 nights.

I think they keep B and C loops closed until A is full. And, keep C closed until B is full. Which is why when we didn't reserve, we got most of B loop to ourselves.

I haven't checked, but I don't think A loop is full yet, but we have two folks already with reservations in B Loop. B 37 and B35.

Donna jokingly calls it that but Tim is right, it stands for the North Oregon Gathering

How many trailers typically show for the Fall NOG?

I'm not sure what's 'typical' but last October at Ft Stevens I think there were 73 fiberglass trailers.

Is this the sort of thing where you ask everyone to chip in some money towards the meeting hall rental? 5 bucks per person or whatever? I can't imagine that many people hanging out by your campsite each night!

But then again I'll be new to this! Yep, just made a reservation. Spot B24. Look for the brand new trailer that hopefully we'll have by then. Fingers crossed!

Figured this would be a good way to start using the trailer as if we have any questions it won't be like there won't be anyone around that won't be willing to help us! And they'll be very familiar with our trailer and the ins and outs of it.

Renting a hall will be new territory for the NOG as we've never done it before. We've either been fortunate enough that the weather cooperated so we could be outside, or the venue allowed us free use of a shelter. 2015 Fall NOG was the first time we were going to rent a shelter and in the end didn't need to because the weather was fabulous. But yes, the suggestion was each site chip in $5 toward the rental and any monies left over was going to be spent on wood for the group fire. We will/would only rent for Fri/Sat nights, because those are the two times folks come to my site for the activities. There again last year's Fall NOG was the largest participation we've had and with around 175 people in my site... we got cozy .

I'll add you to the participants list and map Laura. I'll get to it sometime over this next weekend.

Fun times ahead!

One thing good about partying at Donna's site rather than a hall, is that if one imbibes a bit too much, there is a bed right handy to crash on.

The Meeting Hall at Nehalem Bay is $75, and holds a maximum of 50 people. This might be a bit on the small side, no? Just thinking of how tight it was for a couple hundred at Nk'Mip. This will be a moot point anyway, as I a sure the weather will be fabulous.

Laura - great plan! We went to a spring nog right after picking up her trailer and had help backing it in and with all the questions we had. Fiberglass people are the best!

We'll be in A24!

We're excited to attend another NOG & this will be our first stay at Nehalem.

Donna, can you add a link in your first post to your Casita thread so we can check attendees? I could probably go find it but you spoiled us last time having the link in your first post.

Laura, if your trailer isn't finished in time perhaps you can change your reservation to a Yurt?

DONE!

It's right above the campground map at the bottom of my post.

Excellent idea Trenton!

I was bummed that we had to cancel out of the Spring NOG but very happy for the consolation prize -- I've decided to take a leave of absence mid September to mid October for an Oregon and Washington tour, including attendance at the fall NOG. Woohoo!!

I've booked site A26 for Kevin and I and our 2 pups. We can't wait!
