2017 Escape Trailer Rally - GOLFING ANYONE

Hello Everyone,

We have been able to schedule a tee time for the Rally Golfing.

If you are interested in Golfing on Saturday the Sonara Dunes Golf Course is offering 9 holes for $35.00 per play plus taxes. This includes a power cart.

Last year Sally organized a Shot Gun Tournament which offered some great prizes for all of the players. I am not sure if someone would like to organize this activity? - As none of the Escape Office Team Members are Golfers.

You are welcome. I've played there before, when I stayed at the Spirit Ridge resort - its a nice little course in good condition. There are some other good courses in Osoyoos, and 20 kms up the road in Oliver, there's Fairview Mountain as well as NK'mip Desert Canyon.

Sonora Dunes, a desert style 9-hole golf course is pleased to host a golf tournament for Escape Rally attendees.

DETAILS

Date: Saturday May 27 2017 at Sonora Dunes Golf Course, located at 1300 Rancher Creek Road at Nk’Mip Resort, adjacent to the campsite. Please note that although its quite close, it is a 10 minute walk uphill and if you have clubs you may prefer to drive.

Time: the first tee time will be 9am. Groupings and their individual tee times will be provided shortly. Tee times are at 10 minute intervals. Please also note that as part of the Escape Rally, there will be a pancake breakfast on the Saturday morning.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the course. Coffee will be available prior to your tee time.

Prizes will be awarded, so hang around and get to know your fellow Escape golfers with either golf or trailer tales.

Format: best ball scramble – rules will be provided at the course. There will be a closest to the pin on one hole.

Dress code: please wear appropriate golf attire.

Price: CAD35.00 per person plus tax, includes 9 holes and the power cart rental.

Golf clubs are available for rent from the course. Can you please let me know if you plan to rent so I can let them know in advance.

Handicap. Can you please provide me with either a handicap or an idea of what you would normally shoot so we can balance up the foursomes so as to not load any group with low handicappers.

Registration: All known players have been registered at the golf course. Please pay at pro shop on day of the tournament. If anyone else is interested in playing, please let me know as soon as possible and I will see if there is any more room at the course.

Prizes: its is hoped that there will be a number of prizes, but if anyone wants to donate a prize, please let me know.Additional information please contact either myself or Karen Wighton of Sonora Dunes (kwighton@elandatamakers.com).
