2018 Escape Trailer Rally - PANCAKE/FRENCH TOAST BREAKFAST

Hello Everyone,

Marlene and Dennis as well as Jim and Lisa have joined together again this year and will be providing a complimentary Breakfast on Saturday between 7am - 9:30am.

It would be greatly appreciated if they could have some volunteers to:

1) Make Coffee

2) Supply Syrup

3) Supply Butter

4) Volunteer to help

Please remember many of the activities hosted at the rally are hosted by Escape Owner's not Escape Trailer Industries.

Yummy.

A few good fruit syrups would be good too. We will be cranking out lots of pancakes and French toast for the hordes. Marlene usually brings a bunch of blueberries too.

We will bring some home made chokecherry syrup. Tastes better than it sounds.
Would be more than happy to lend a hand with what ever.

My mom used to make this all the time when I was a kid. I have not had any in well over 40 years now, and will be looking forward to it.

We are bringing the coffee but if someone would like to stop at Summerland Sweets in Summerland on the way to the rally and pick up some Saskatoon Syrup, it would certainly change some minds as to which is the best pancake syrup

Bringing honey into Canada

I would like to bring some honey from Oregon, but I'm concerned that since it is not processed it will not be allowed across the border. Does anyone know one way or the other?

Not sure on the legality of that Rick, but we have taken it across both ways, but were never asked about it. I would certainly think that honey would not be an issue, but you never know....

I don't have the blueberry plants anymore so will not have the blueberries for breakfast but thought I would bring other frozen fruit and yogurt as usual.

Oh man, that was one of the best parts of the breakfast (well second to getting to work alongside you ). Blueberries are my favourite fruit.

It should be OK, Here is what I found online regarding bringing honey into Canada.

We will pretty much have the kitchen handled for help, but always stuff to do. Those who have kindly offered help, I would suggest to check with us at the start to see what is needed. The cooks will be there early to get the grill hot and have some grilled offerings ready for go time.
