Refer this morning was 10 in freezer and 34 in refer. It is full and all systems are set for lift off.
Latest weather shows one day of rain, Friday so that maybe the non fire day...see everyone soon.

Hi Jim
Paul has the shelter reserved for Friday and Saturday. It has a nice fireplace and is a large shelter with tables. So a fire anytime is possible. On the street through Thomson there are two or three private residences with firewood for sale if nothing has changed since last year. There’s also firewood from the camp host. But it’s the typical bundle I think. You can get water at the dump station as you enter the park
Or in the campground there are hydrants
Randomly placed with standard hose connections. Keep your speed down to the posted limits, those rangers are serious.

Get your motor running. We’re at Devil’s Lake State Campground in Barbaroo, WI. Beautiful spot and great weather. Sending out good mojo to keep the rain away. No matter what happens we’re going to have a great time.

A front is coming through and will be out of the way by morning but by the forecast it may be a “Rough Night in Jericho” . Hope they are wrong but I would put my awning in for sure.

Yep. Good advice. Looks like it might be a little rocky through the night. We’re all buttoned up and ready to handle whatever Mother Nature sends our way.

We are about ready to head out here shortly. Rita was packing the cold stuff just now and said “You must think people are really going to eat a lot.” So I expect everyone to throw diet caution to wind this afternoon At Escapes and Canapés. Although I have a Sherline scale, I’m afraid to use it this morning. We’re loaded with bottled beers by the bushel for bears (plural) too. Stay thirsty my friend.

Back at the ranch it’s raining very hard and the wind out of the south is blowing the surface of the Mississippi River upstream. Good thing I’ve not started drinking for the day yet i would be so confused. Miss Mississippi at her finest, fickle lady that she can be.

Yep. It’s rainy cats and dogs or lions and wolves. I did have two plates of excellent biscuits and gravy provided by Linda and Steve. It is the best I’ve ever had. If you are in the campground grab your umbrella and stop over to the easy up canopy and have a yourself a treat.

A wonderful bird is the pelican
His beak holds more than his belican
He can take in his beak
Enough food for a week
Although I’m damned if I see how the hell he can.
