Hi Ralph
Being a gambling man, I think we ought to start a pool on attendance. Of course I’ll bet on which way a bird on the fence will fly. Alf is or was in the Maritimes and he’d have the best Idea.

Well, my wife was able to get a couple extra days off...and after careful re-consideration...we are going to attend the Mississippi rally on Saturday sept 28th AFTER our RV rental in Michigan instead of doing the Niagara one. Dave - Thanks for the heads-up about where the Mississippi rally REALLY takes place!

Lots of great folks at both rallies. Probably more Escapes at the Mississippi River Rally but some great vintage rigs and other newer fiberglass rigs at Niagara Falls. You can’t go wrong with either. Both have great potlucks on Saturday night.

Hi: mcdonner... Looks like a another great turnout at Niagara Wine Escape. After our "Eastern junket" we'll have some "Cod tales" to swap. Hope everyone has safe travels to Niagara. Alf

and everyone bring their woodworking tools to help rebuild Alf's seating area/battery box....
Alf seemed to have lost his touch at dodging potholes.

Hi: cpaharley2008... No Dodgeing just a Ram!!! The potholes were everywhere. You had a split second to chose which one to hit @ 80 kph or less. At least I had no flats.

Just about one month to go till the Niagara Grape Escape Rally. Get your blue tarp give away items ready. We just got home from a short trip to NW Ohio and will be hitting another park right before Canada so by then my fire tending skills should be ready for Niagara.

Hi Ralph.
The tarp is in the side box. I’ve collected some junk errr treasures and my child bride is currently washing North Dakota off the Escape. Hey, don’t condemn me, I set the ladder up for her and hooked up the hose. Should be ready for the road except for picking up a little fire water on the way out of town.

Hi: Iowa Dave... What's the sense in pouring water on the fire. That'll just snuff it out!!! Alf

TWO WEEKS TILL THE RALLY. I have a request that maybe some of you would be willing to help me with. I have a friend who lives in Niagara Falls, Ontario and collects old US license plates to display in his garage. I was wondering if anyone had an old plate they would be willing to donate. Thought it might be a nice gesture for a friend north of the border. I have already given him an Ohio one. Thanks a million.

Plates

Hi Ralph
Most of the time you have to turn your plates in to get a rebate back on unused time or when you get a new rig you just switch plates. I had an old one around here someplace and I’ll bring it if I can find it. My son had a box full of plates left by the previous owner of his house, I’ll see if he’s still got them. I think they were mostly motorcycle plates from the 70s. I used a bunch I had for roofs on birdhouses. Nothing like the sound of a rain on a metal roof, thought the birds might like it too.
See you in a couple weeks.

Hi: Iowa Dave... The only plates I might need are "Upper and lower" ones. Seems like we got a "Whopper" of a rally upcoming. Alf

I like a whopper and I’m not talking about
Burger King. Really looking forward to the trip. Teresa says she’ll have some swag for
The ladies. Love that cold Coca Cola at the potluck. Here’s a whopper

Bringing roasted nuts into Canada

We are going through all our food to remove any we cannot bring into Canada. We have searched the web and find answers to everything except if we can bring roasted nuts into Canada. We have peanuts, almonds and pistachios.
