2020 Spring NOG - Apr 23-26 - CANCELLED
2020 Spring NOG - Apr 23-26 - Northern Oregon Gathering
We're going back to Waterloo! I understand there was quite a discussion at Fort Stevens about the park. Remember, we haven't been to the park (as a group) in three years and a lot can change in that amount of time. Kathie (Dave&Kathie) called Linn County Parks to discuss some concerns. Everything is good! THANKS KATHIE!
Waterloo County Park
39510 Gross St, Waterloo, Oregon
Located five miles east of Lebanon off Highway 20
N44° 29.7426', W122° 49.3046'
You can either make reservations online at: Linn County Parks and Recreation - Waterloo or by calling 541-967-3917 during regular business hours.
Basic Campsite (water/electric), $30 - Senior discount $7, over 62 y/o
Free dump station available
There's a couple of shelters available. I will do my best to see if we can use one of them for our Friday/Saturday food events. No EZ-Up, popups or folding tables needed. NEATO!
I've chosen site 53A, the same site I've had the last several times. As usual I’ll keep a park map updated and a list of names going for those that have made reservations at the CasitaForum here: https://www.casitaforum.com/invboard...comment-252382
READY, SET, GO!

I think we were a little late to the party. Looks like the campground is sold out for those dates If anyone cancels let us know!

Bummer. There will be cancellations, there usually are... but, closer to the event. I'll put you on the wait list!

Hello all, just thinking of things to do in the area. Here is a great little cruise around the back roads that includes 6 covered bridges! I think Crabtree would be the best place to start. http://www.staytonsublimitychamber.o...d-bridge-tour/ Looking forward to Spring and seeing everyone (I have daffodils about to bloom).

Linn County Parks now closed. What does that mean for the NOG? I thoroughly expect it to be cancelled. What does this mean for you?
There's not enough information on the Linn County Parks website NOR their Facebook page (image below) to know how far out the cancellation will last. I have an email message into the parks office asking specific questions about refunds and will post here when I know more.
Remember, the NOG starts one month from today and you are welcome to cancel at any time. IF you are willing to wait, I expect you'll get all your money back. I'm waiting....
More later.
Be safe, be well.

Just heard back from Linn County Parks. Seems they don't know much at this point. I'm still waiting to cancel my reservation. YMMV.

By now, everyone with reservations for Spring NOG should have received an e-mail from Linn County Parks. I've received an additional e-mail from 'Kerri' stating they've started the refunds for reservations prior to April 5. Going forward, they will cancel and refund week-by-week.
SO... that means if you want to get ALL your money back, you will be getting a cancellation notice and refund somewhere around April 20. You can, of course, cancel sooner if you wish.
Be safe, be well.

This is the day I've been regretting. No matter what should happen in the next two weeks, Spring NOG is officially cancelled.
I know a number of participants have already cancelled their reservations. For those like me, who are waiting for Linn County Parks to cancel reservations, we will get our full refunds starting Monday, April 20.
What does this mean for Spring NOG 2021? Typically we decide as a group where we're going the following Spring. Folks wanted to go to Waterloo, to Waterloo we'll go.
As soon as I can get my reservations made for 2021, I'll post the details on the forums and Facebook.
I hope to see you at the Oregon Coast Gathering in July and Fall NOG 2020 too.
Be safe, be well.
