Been taking a few pics. I’ll post later today after the dog parade and there’s a little more activity. Had a very nice meet and greet last night at the big pavilion. One fellow at Algonac called them a “Grip and Grin” I liked that. Well attended, some very nice treats, fun swag distribution by Steven M and Anita, good fire and great weather. How can you beat that ?

I checked the loops this AM and counted 42 Fiberglass campers which means there are somewhere between 38 and 46. Lots of good looking Escapes and shiny tow rigs. A Bigfoot, a burro, little Snoozy, couple casitas and I think an older egg Camper but I’m no authority on campers.

Had fun giving away about 50 lbs of apples and some other garden stuff. What a nice bunch of people. And from all over the USA and Canada. Looking forward to seeing you next year. Hope your trip is going well.

Love the pics. Thanks. The dog parade is a great idea. Go Buckeyes tonight. Did you do a blue tarp?

Had a blue tarp. People cleaned the stuff up pretty well. All That was left were some cleaning and other spray products. Had some canoe paddles, a tent. A converter, some other escape stuff including side storage box locks, sewer cap and one item I’d not seen before. Ice Crampons. I gave away about 30 lbs of Tomatoes.this week and the last of
Them went off the tarp. Watching the Buckeyes and the Badgers.

I think we can relax with this game. Glad the blue tarp lives on.

Sprig had fun in the dog parade.
Thanks to everyone for tolerating her sharp puppy teeth while she learns.

Sprig won the award for most original costume (not that we actually had awards but she would have).

There's only a few die hards left in the park now, big rigs moving in among us, but about 17 headed to the Wide River Winery this afternoon to sample their delights.

Thanks everyone for letting us see these great Escapes. Everyone was so nice. We really think RVing is in our future. We really liked the Escape 5.0s. Fiberglass is the way to go!
A special thanks to Paul Braun, the Lawsons, Tahoe Joe, Leppers with the newest 5.0, and of course the cutest RV Heathers Burro.
We will be joining forces with you people in about three years.
Smooth roads and sunny days to you all! I will keep snooping around this forum.

Sorry we didn’t say proper goodbyes today. Got a call at 6 a.m. that our daughter in law started labor. So we hitched up fast and headed home. New granddaughter born this evening. Mom and baby doing well.
Thanks to Paul and everyone we met who made the rally so special. We always learn new things at the rally. Safe travels and hope we meet again.
Btw, for those who asked I will start a post in Modifications section with some resource links on electric/solar.

Thanks for the explaination on your early departure. As your neighbor I noticed you were were gone early and just attributed to that farm ethic of "early to rise". Hope the mother and baby are doing well.

We had an awesome time too! We made it to peninsula state park in door county and had some of Iowa Dave’s apples with dinner. They were fabulous!

Really enjoyed the rally and meeting all the folks from this forum that I read all the time.

See you at a future rally and of course here on the forum.

Unless I’m mistaken, Tahoe Joe told me you have an awesome setup for your rolling bed cover. I didn’t get to see it this weekend, but I’d sure like to see/read about what you did.

Thank you. I need to take some pics and post it. Basically I made a removable bulkhead at the front of the Andersen hitch and the roll-n-lock cover locks against it so I have about a 2x2x6 ft. Locking space when pulling the 5.0.

No I wouldn’t have voluntarily passed on a cup of your good coffee. Yes Mommy and baby girl doing fine.

And what I should have said the first message - congratulations on the new granddaughter! Glad to hear all is well.

The bulkhead sounds very useful. We travel with our camp chairs the in back seat, as they are too big for the storage compartments in the 5.0
