The confusion comes in with the next weekend’s Sunday being in October. In previous years the campground had closed on September 30. So the full weekend has floated back and forth depending upon how the calendar falls. Secondly, retired, returning campers at any rally often like to arrive as early as the Wednesday before and stay through Sunday night and leave on Monday. With the geezer pass it’s cheap good camping.
The Corps has modified their closing date on some Campgrounds over the years too. It’s a little confusing but any time you want arrive that week you’ll find a nice campground, with nice views and several things to do “on your own” if you’re so inclined. Wildlife viewing. Small town antiquing, even driving down the river to the Quad Cities with all they offer are possible. From arboretums, the Rock island Armory, Herbert Hoover birthplace and library, etc, your varied interests can be served.

Two things:
Do not hold up on reserving a site in the loop along the river. There are very good sites there and you can walk though reasonably short grass over to the Pman loop. Secondly, you might want to continue to monitor comments on this rally as invariably there are cancellations that open up sites in the pman loop. And you can switch. At Any any rate, there’s always been open sites at rally time in the past. And everybody is welcome. Nobody bites.

West Side Best Side
We stayed in 114 several times and liked it very much. The view of the river, The birds out in the river, the sunsets and the bench along the riverbank made that area great for us. Looking forward to meeting you

Looking forward to meeting you at Thompson. I was only in Jefferson City once years ago. It was a nasty grey day and I was only there about an hour so didn’t get any feel for the city. If you haven’t been to Thompson I think you will like it. Don’t hesitate to ask if you have questions. Watch your speed once you get into the park. I saw the ranger talking to a turtle one day, I think he was either giving him a warning for speeding or jaywalking.

That seems to be the leading cause of demise. I am looking forward to exploring the area and meeting some of you wonderful forum members who were so helpful when I was working on my built sheet. I plan on arriving early o. Tuesday.

Maybe an East/Central Missouri Rally is in order? With you and me I know of at least 4 more. 3 of the 4 were ambassadors that "tricked me" into the Escape World.

Depending upon the dates chosen, we would certainly entertain attending your first annual Show Me State, Fiberglass Camper Rally.

I've said it before.....I'll say it once again
The Bickelhaupt Botanical Gardens, just across the Big Muddy in Clinton, IA, are a treat for the eyes and spirit, if you hanker for seeing green things. They are a stellar Clinton attraction.
Free, to boot.

The Fulton, IL windmill is a real deal, built by Dutch craftsmen and also worth a visit....on the way to the botanical gardens.

Probably won’t be attending this year since I’m hoping to be in the process of building a house on my property in the Lower Ozarks of Missouri. I’ll attend last minute if there are any sites opened up and I’m in a position to leave!
Yes to the Missourians talking about a rally! Alley Spring is close to my land and there are also many wonderful state parks around the state.

NIndy, I do hope you'll be able to attend. I would enjoy meeting you. You were a great help when I was doing the build sheet on my 2018 17A...so more than 5 years ago. That time has flown but included so many wonderful experiences with my trailer. This trip to the Rendezvous will be my second cross continent trip.

Casitas are welcome. As are Scamps, the Bigfoot, Bolers, Trilliums etc. and if you don’t have a trailer yet and want to attend there are Tent sites that people have used in past years. It is not proper to discriminate. Stickbuilts have attended too. No Vixens though that I’m aware of although I saw one just the other day.

Casitas are absolutely welcome, as are about anything that rolls down the highway.
It's a great rally and I'm sure you'll enjoy your time.
