Oct. 5-8, 2023 Silver Falls State Park (near Salem, Oregon)

Ring, ring, ring. This is your six month alarm to make your reservation!

This is the smallest venue where we hold NOGs. There are a TOTAL of 48 sites with electric and water at Silver Falls State Park. Two in B loop are ADA compliant. There are four yurts in B loop that are pet friendly. One of those are ADA compliant. There are 10 electric and water sites in A loop at the far north end. (see attached map). If you want to attend Fall NOG, do not delay getting your reservation.

Silver Falls State Park is called the 'crown jewel' of the Oregon State parks system, and once you visit, you know why. Silver Falls State Park is the kind of standout scenic treasure that puts Oregon firmly onto the national - and international - stage.

The park doesn't rent/reserve shelters for use after Sept. 30. So, IF the weather is nice, we'll hold the Fri./Sat. meetups in my site. More information will be in the Schedule when it's posted toward the end of September.

Hi Donna,

We have booked site B-15 for Fall NOG at Silver Falls. From Oct 4th to the 8th. Harriet and John Schmidt in the 2022 Escape 21C, from Hillsboro, OR.

Also, greetings from Austria - as I write this we are on a Danube river cruise. I'm lucky I was reading the forum during an idle moment, and saw your reminder to book. Even during our vacation we are looking forward to starting our camping season when we get back home.

As of 5:45am April 5, these are the only sites left with electric/water:

B Loop: 16, 20. 22
Cabins 19, 21
A Loop: 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 78

I'm just hoping I haven't heard yet from a lot of people that have reservations!!

I don't understand how these sites were claimed outside of the reservation window.


I am not able to claim any site beyond Oct 5 - "campsite is not available through the booking window" is the message I get.

Bruce, the reservation window is six months from the DATE you want to arrive. IF you want to arrive on Oct. 5, you make your reservation on April 5. Remember, this is a public state park. People other than NOGgers are staying there. Just because the NOG is Oct. 5-8, you are welcome to make your reservation longer or shorter.

I'm in the park for 8 days, I made my reservation on March 30 to get into the park on Sept. 30.

I tried yesterday (the 4th) and couldn't find any sites starting the 5th, so I changed my first night to the 4th and found a site. You can then extend past that date.



We are in B-42


BTW.. If you can't get in, put your name down to be informed if a site opens up. We did this for Ft. Casey when it was full and got in later.

Unless you want a non-serviced site? The ones closest to B loop have long driveways and lots of sun for solar, if that works for you....

I just checked this morning. For Oct. 4-8. No sites in B loop, but ALL these sites in A loop, no services... are available for those dates. The ones in blue.

We would love to make it to another NOG, but will be in the Maritimes and NE US at this time unfortunately. I remember well this park. It really is a beautiful place.

I just checked, IF you can use an non-serviced site, all these in blue are still available Oct 5-8.

We just called and were able to get site 4. It is a ADA site that you have to call to reserve. My husband is a disabled veteran. So our info is as follows.
