Escape Day Sunday August 19 th

With tickets becoming available very soon, I started to think more about the Rally. With Saturday being the open house day, I am not sure how I am going to show my trailer plus see all other trailers and meet all the Escape owners.
Ian has already said that people can stay on past the event (without services) as long as they depart early Tuesday. So I asked him if the Escape owners could organize a little unofficial get together Sunday. He said yes no problem...in fact due to an upcoming event at the grounds people staying on may (or may not) have to relocate anyway. I think it would be great if we all could get together in a group, relax and have a great time. Open to anyone interested in Escapes. Ian may join us as well.
What do you think about the Escape Sunday?
Ian said he will post when tickets become available.

Count us in as well, we would likely stay at least until Monday then set off for our hour and a half drive home

Tag a long

I would like to tag a long for this event and park near some fellow escape owners. Will you be in the generator section or the without generator section?

I have not registered yet but would like to.

Unless you register as a group, all using a common name, it sounds like you will be placed at random. For the most part this is not too bad, but it is nice to be near other Escapes too.

I for one will be requesting a site well away from the gensets, though realize that some will need them for medical reasons, or even just charge a battery.

I am not sure what sections people are planing on registering in. That would be tough one to call. I am sure there will be some in each. How you go about being close to a few Escapes is best answered by Ian.
Personally I am a little torn on which section to ask for not knowing how hot it will be. Mine is super quiet but others can drive me insane.
On Sunday we should be able to move somewhat closer together and use common sense on generator use.
Glad to see a few people staying for the Escape Sunday get together.

Ian said there will be a generator section and non-generator sections. Those that need electric for medical purposes have a good chance at receiving those few sites.

I wish to be away from the generators. IF I run my batteries down, I'll just shut everything down and act like I'm tent camping!

Even though there may be 1,000 trailers at this event, it doesn't look like we'll be spread out any worse than some of the big parks I've attended for other gatherings.

Look for me, I'll have a 20' flag pole with a USA flag and a yellow Star Trek flag waving in the breeze! Figured I might need it to find my way "home" in a sea of white trailers.

Just a comment on power and medical needs, when tickets go on sale which should be later this week we ask if you have need for power for medical equipment. Our priority is to provide power sites to all those who need electricity for medical reasons, any remaining power sites will be distributed on a first come basis based on registration date.

We will also be asking if you would like to run a generator which will be situated in a separate area. I have been updating the boler 50th Anniversary website and there is now lots of information on it and I am adding info on a regular basis.here is a

That's wild! 20' flags! Yes, MAYBE you will be able to find your trailer.

Donna, it might not be a sea of white trailers going by the different colour bolers I've seen at the MB rally, most of which will likely be there. It's amazing what some people have done with their old bolers.

Those great big Escapes may be pretty easy to find if most of the Bolers are the smaller ones. Wonder what kind of percentage there is on that.

Even the stock colour of most old eggs is not white. Mine is sort of tan (typical for its era), and two-colour (top and bottom) combinations were common, right out of the mould.

The vast majority of Bolers are the 1300 model (13 feet long). The 1700 (17 feet) is in a distant second place (and is the largest Boler), and the 15' and 16' variants are rare.

That is what I guessed. Thank you for confirming that.

That is interesting to know in light of all the white we see now for a bunch of new ones. I saw a very old Eco that was tanish or very off-white.

Based on the preregistration numbers for the event 72.7% of the trailers are boler's and in total 62.7% are 13' bolers.
