We would certainly like to attend.

It would hopefully be the first step of our long hoped for trip across Canada. It has been put off several times.

I think they need a catchy name for this rally. I’m entering “The hole in the cheese rally”
Just sounded good to me.

Hi Dianne
We looked at your profile picture and I’m guessing you would vote for the next national holiday to be in very late October. I know Rita would.

When i was Scoutmaster we had a Mother's day breakfast for several years. the boys did the cooking. our top attendance was 79. Wa had 3 Silver Beaver adults in our troop. One of them gave me an old Scout cookbook with Mega recipies. in addition i collected outdoor cooking cookbooks for a while and some had large group recipes in them. It takes concentration to keep from ruining a lot of food at once. Some former military personnel and Church cooks and School cooks are pretty good at this exercise too,

Jim, you can get 100+ eggs around you in a good sized chicken coop!

I do hope that this rally actually occurs, even though I do not plan to attend it. However, due to COVID concerns, I read last week that PM Trudeau stated that it is likely the border will remain closed to non-essential traffic for “a long time.” I think that dooms the NWE for people south of the border, and may doom the planned Escape Rally. I suspect that if more people would get vaccinated that COVID and all its variants would be of far less concern. But as long as it persists, the border will likely remain closed. Just me speculating……

I have been to Canada a number of times. One staying for at a hunting and fishing lodge for a week. We
had a great time. I feel bad for those lodge owners who depend heavily on US dollars for their livelihood.
I can only hope things get better as I like to go to Canada and have some Canadian friends who is like to see again.

I think vaccinated non essential to Canada will happen before the rally next May, unvaccinated might be a whole different timeline. I have dual citizenship and I’m fully vaccinated so technically I can travel into Canada now. Canada is way behind the US with the number of people vaccinated, once they catch up the border restrictions will ease. I’m hoping as I haven’t seen my family in two years.
