Escape Rally in Merritt, BC

Hello Everyone,

I can now confirm the VERY FIRST Escape Rally on June 4th - 6th.

We would like to invite any FiberGlass Trailer owner to stay with us at the Claybanks RV Park in Merritt, BC. Most of the sites we have reserved offer full hook-ups but sites # 37-#44 are power & water only. Any of the sites that are marked with an * range from 30' to 70' and will accommodate more than one trailer.

We currently have reserved sites 5,7,9, 35,36,12,13,34,33,31,30,18,22,24,26,28 then two units in #16,11, 10 as well sites #37-44.

To reserve one of these sites please contact Escape Trailer Industries not Claybanks RV Park.

I have attached a list of the sites that are still available.

We ARE NOW VERY excited. [img][/img]

Re: Escape Rally in Merritt, BC

I found a map at www.claybanksrv.com/map.html

Unfortunately it doesn't show the river so I'm only guessing when I chose site 39.

Re: Escape Rally in Merritt, BC

Also, I'm not sure from the wording in your post, "then two units in #16,11, 10 as well sites #37-44.". Does that mean two units would fit in sites 37 - 44?

Re: Escape Rally in Merritt, BC

Tammy,

Where, when and how do we pay for our sites?
Also, according to the table, site 39 would accommodate two trailers, but looking at the Claybanks map, I wouldn't count on it, unless the scale is way, way off.

Here is an image off of Google Earth to give you a better idea of the layout.

I have already put in a request for a site. Looking forward to meeting up with all that can make it.

Re: Escape Rally in Merritt, BC

Doug and I decided to take holidays around that time to accomodate this rally--then heading off to Fruitvale and the Grand Coulee Dam in Washington the following week....

Lots of nights out in Howie....It'll be our first trip of 2010

Re: Escape Rally in Merritt, BC

C'mon Alf, your trailer probably wants to make that long journey back to its beginnings.

Too bad it is so far for you though.

Heh Jim,
"Google Earth-ing" a campground is a GREAT IDEA!!!!!! Glen could have seen that the tents get the river, not the trailers. GREAT IDEA! Now Alf and I can check out Google Earth, the camp site numbers, the list of attendee's and vicariously join in : - ) I'll be able to lift a root beer in your honor! Did I say that's a GREAT IDEA?

Darn, and here it is still early in the year, and I have already used up my quota of great ideas.

Great minds think alike, which is why I used Google maps to look at the place. I asked for site 39 which is nearest the river and appears to be well treed. No sewer, but it's only a few days and I figure driving to the sani-dump should shake things up a bit anyway.

Re: Escape Rally in Merritt, BC

Hi Everyone,

Good thing you are here to help me get organized.

Jim...I don't know what to say about the Google thing ;0) but I will give you credit for fast thinking. You have answered many of the questions I have already been receiving about where the water is.

I am trying to confirm numbers at this point which will hopefully bring down the cost. I will request money from everyone in April once the owners are back from Arizona.

I will also update the list of attendees every few days or weekly so everyone can see which sites are reserved.

Hope you have a great weekend.

Tammy

Re: Escape Rally in Merritt, BC

Not to be too corny but here is an updated list. (See attachment).

As you can see the sites are filling up fast - Today was the first day.

I think all of us are looking forward to Escaping!

Or, you could just hold it, and dance a little more : - )
Or, when you've visiting Jim, just use his....

No way, he's the one who picked the site furthest from the facilities.
