We just changed to 353
Very long ways away from the events but our dogs have been suffering on our sailboat here in the gulf islands with the heat. We thought they would be happier by the water

Hi: Northerngirl... I suffered a heatstroke last time we rallied in Osoyoos. After the ambulance ride and friends taking us back from the Hosp. I found I was happier by the "Beer". Alf

That is scary!
I’m assuming the beer garden is on the water?
I think we might just put the dogs on the paddle boards with our cooler and paddle down

Anyone got a update on air quality at Rally site?
Several fires burning in BC and smoke as far south as Wenatchee WA.

We live in the OK Valley and there has been smoke for the last two days, however today is almost clear as the wind has pushed everything back into Alberta.

Impossible to predict the smoke at the rally yet, even though its only a little more than a week away now.
Here's a dynamic smoke forecast for two days out which is the best I know of. https://firesmoke.ca/forecasts/current/
Also, here's a link to the BC Highways webcam nearest Osoyoos. Gives a pretty much real-time look at smoke conditions. https://images.drivebc.ca/bchighwayc...l/www/942.html

Yep. It was really noticeable today. I'm in Homedale, ID. Headed north on Sunday, first to Moscow, then to Osoyoos.

Has anyone else noticed this statement on the campground reservation confirmation letter?
“If the above reservation states less than 14 nights we are unable to guarantee a specific site number or location within the park until you arrive.”
Don’t think I have ever seen as broad a “get out of jail free” disclaimer from a campground.

People have been complaining they didn't get the site stated on their reservation going back to at least 2015 when Rbryan reported his displeasure of being farmed out to a spot by the lake. I actually preferred it there in 2014.
So I doubt this is anything new.

When we went to the Osoyoos Rally on 2019 they assigned us to a spot that was too short for the 21. I was not happy but went into the office with an open mind and as I started to describe my problem a fellow about 35 years old came out of somewhere and said”it sounds like you need a different site”’ He proceeded to assign us to a site just behind the assembly hall which was great and much appreciated. I made a trip back to the office, found him and told him I was pleased with my site and thanked him for his consideration. I’m never afraid to ask if something isn’t to my liking. Hope it all works out for you . I’ve been places where I’ve asked about moving and been granted that permission on a cancellation or when a better site opened up. Best of Luck

Whether there will be forest fire smoke will be a crap shoot. We were in the Cariboo this past week and Mon. and Tues. were clear and blistering hot, Wed. was so smoky that you could taste it , Thur. the wind changed and the air was clearing and the past 2 days have been bright and sunny without any smoke.
It's one of those things totally out of anyone's control, all we can hope for is the usual bright, sunny and warm weather.

The year I went (2017?) the lower spots flooded and a bunch of people ended up in the middle of a field. I had no idea which spots were good so simply stated I had no AC so please give me a shady spot. The location wasn't too great- except for having Paul next door- front row near the office- but the shade was wonderful. But that's one of the reasons I hesitate to go.

Rally attendee list
It's pretty definite that ETI will be posting a list of attendees so I won't be making my own. It's good that folks will be able to locate people that they like to touch base with. Frustrating to attend a rally and then find out later that someone was there that you'd like to have chatted with but didn't know where they were.

Fiberglass chip repair
I was asked by one forum member if I'd show him how to do a chip repair. Since many folks have had chips and had to deal with them in different ways I said yes.
Since I was going to show one person I told ETI that I'd be happy to give a demo to more folks if there was any interest.
So ETI has booked me a slot in Clubhouse A for sometime on Sat. afternoon. The time will be posted.
Better to do the initial demo and explanations under controlled conditions in the clubhouse given the chance of rain.
Then it's off to a trailer and do a cello finishing repair. About 10 minutes.
