Fort Casey Escape Rally October 4-8 2021 (Washington)

We had a great time this past week at Fort Casey.

Book now! We scheduled two more dates: upcoming and bookable now is October 2021. Official Oct 4-8 (though I booked the 3rd, too. ). You can book at https://washington.goingtocamp.com/home

This is in the senior pass window for Washington seniors age 62 and up. https://www.parks.state.wa.us/1205/O...r-Citizen-Pass
If you don't have one (they go on sale Sept 1) you can pay now and get a refund with the pass later, or use this year's number to reserve (you still need to check in with the new pass number in October).

Save the date! We also set the dates for April 24-28, 2022. (Sunday through Thursday so also eligible for the senior pass.) We cannot book this yet but I'll post when the booking window is about to open.

I hope by April 2022 at least our BC neighbors can join us. Although they'd probably need to know 3 months from now that the border would be reopening and that's iffy. The first shutdown, Washington refunded camping reservations. But then when reopening they said if Canadians reserved they would not receive cancellation refunds.

Is there a designated area or certain sites we should be focusing on getting? We went to our ;first fiberglass trailer rally last weekend and somehow ended up far away from all the Casita's, which dominated the rally

Fort Casey Fall Rally 2021
October 4-8

Here’s who I have listed as attending:

Bobbie, 17b, site 21, 3-8
Dianne, 19, site 24, 3-8
Jinny, 17b, site 14
1200Bruce 5.0, site 10
Karen H., 15 A, site 9, 3-8
Meandering Minstrel, site 6, 4-8
Bill and Gisela, 21, site 24.
Foxhunt 4-7, site 15
Selina and Gary, site 16, 5-8
Dave and Linda?

Any others please let me know and adding dates could be helpful.

With cases in Island County at an all-time high we aren’t going to do a potluck, but since the main concern is common utensils for serving, mainly, I want to try a chili dinner. I’ll make and serve chili so nobody else handles the serving ladle and have corn muffins so you don’t have to use a utensil there, and I thought Monday night would be nice for that to make it easy for Monday travelers.

The other nights it would be nice just to gather at someone’s site for bring your own dinner or campfire or both. Volunteer hosts welcome as it worked out very nicely last spring.

Tours are still canceled due to Covid but the Lighthouse is open Friday-Monday 12-4.

If you are coming from the peninsula make those reservations now (fall schedule) as we are STILL on a one ferry schedule, as I’m sure you know, and it has been hard to get trailer reservations.
