Front Range Escapees...

Looking for Front Range Escapees who are interested in gathering for some local camping. We certainly have many inviting options available to us.
Thought we (Penny & Charles) could kick things off by hosting a get-together at our place in North Fort Collins to meet, eat and plan.
Maybe the 1st or 2nd week in March?
If you're interested, please email me at pennyjhillman@yahoo.com

For those who might not be familiar with the Front Range...

My wife and I would love to come meet everyone.

We are tentatively in!

Thank for putting this together.

Whoops, that is a date that won't work for us - but we will be there in spirit.

Bummer Alan!

Maybe there is some wiggle room in the date(s).

We can only do this if the roads are clear. If there is a snow date, like there is today, then we have to exercise discretion.

Are there any additional details the group can discuss? I want to meet everybody.

Hi Alan - Sorry the date doesn't work for you two. Could you send me your email address so I could add you to our list of Front Range Escapees? Looking forward to meeting you in the future.

Hi Alan -

The Colorado weather has necessitated that we err on the side of safety, cancel our Front Range Escapee gathering for this Sunday (3/6) and reschedule it for Sunday, March 20th, at 3:00.

Hoping that date is a good one for you. If so, please email me at pennyjhillman@yahoo.com and I'll send you the particulars.

A big thank you to Penny & Charles

Just a quick shout out to our hosts this weekend, Penny & Charles of Fort Collins.

It was wonderful to get together and meet almost everyone. I still missed a few people, but my wife had a great time meeting everyone.

This was really great to have a chance to put faces to names and get to know people a little. I hope we get to do a camp together and report back to everyone!

For anyone thinking of getting together and visiting for a bit, I highly recommend it!

Looking forward to the Rocky Mountain Fiberglass Rendezvous.

Thank you!

p.s. You have a lovely home!

We really enjoyed meeting ya'll yesterday. What a great group of Escapees!

Regarding our group's decision to try to camp at Curt Gowdy in late April or early May: reservations open May 1, so rather than risk FF for a group, it seemed a better plan to make reservations for the 1st week of May.

Most sites in the Crystal Campground area of Crystal Reservoir are available. These are non-electric sites.

I went ahead and booked site #181 for us for the nights of May 3, 4, 5

Curt Gowdy State Park, WY - (307) 632-7946

This link should take you to the 180's & 190's section for Crystal Campground for those days.

https://www.reserveamerica.com/explo...ookingFor=2001

Following is our reservation info...

Curt Gowdy State Park
Site, Loop: C-181, CRYSTAL
Type: Campsite Non-Electric
Arriving: May 03, 2022 - Tuesday
Leaving: May 06, 2022 - Friday
Length of Stay: 3 (nights)
Primary: Penny Hillman-May

Really wish we could make the Rocky Mountain Fiberglass Rendezvous, but we'll be up in Alberta then. Hopefully next year!
