I'm ready to go camping....

With the temperatures in the 50's this week and thru the weekend, it seems like a shame not to take advantage of this mild winter. Nothing on the horizon until springtime for rallies. Seems like those down south should take advantage and think of a mini rally for sometime over the next 4 months, you plan it, they will come. Why let the Canadians have all the fun in Osoyoos when you have the nice weather everyone wants.

If you are having a hard time deciding where to go in early December, this should help.

So am I ready Jim but will just have to wait. We've had some milder weather lately but still the snow we already got has not yet all gone and likely won't. Don't need to plan small rallies in the next four months, as there's a pretty big one we are definitely looking forward to in order to shorten our winter, only 3.5 months until Green Eggs and Ham. Can't wait!

Flip! I winterized Ten Forward a month ago. Today the sun is shining and the weather is fairly warm (daytime temps right at 50 degrees). The idea of waiting months to go camping makes me gag. Yes, I've camped many times with a trailer that was fully winterized. Ready to go NOW

Not going to let being winterized stop me. They still make funnels and siphons and 3 gallon jugs don't they? Always thought of running water from a trailer faucet as pure whoop-de-doo camping luxury.

The temperature ups and downs in the winter convinced me to make winterizing/unwinterizing as efficient as possible. I already have plans for 2-3 weeks camping starting on New Year’s Eve and then another 10 days in early March. With the 3 way valve and low cost of antifreeze and being retired, I try to be available to camp at a moments notice. Going from a tent to a 19 Escape was a great decision.

Yes, I agree, Escape makes it easy to escape at a moments notice. I made up the bed yesterday and your comments are the exact thoughts that made me post after coming inside.

We're starting to get the itch too, haven't been out since the eclipse. Thinking about uncovering the trailer this weekend while the weather is still decent, Don't want to try rolling it up and storing it after it snows.

Headed south in Jan.

I MUST go. It's been too long. The wife doesn't want to go because she's got too many things on her plate. So, I've decided to go solo next week. Campsite on a lake, kayaking, and maybe a little fishing. It'll be interesting.

If you want a "Scamp Camp", I just registered for the Scamp Camp at Sedona (December 8-10). There is still space left in the campground, and, unlike the last time I was there, no predictions for snow!

I'm off to a pretty good start for 2018. I leave on December 30th for Florida. I've got reservations for about 3 weeks before coming home to North Carolina. Then in early March , I've got reservations for 10 nights on the coast of South Carolina. That'll give me 31 nights in the trailer by mid March! Looking forward to a good year of camping. Just hope that the Federal Government passes the spending cap and doesn't shut down all the federal parks like they did a few years ago.
