Maryhill in May 2017 - 5/19-22

That time again – Maryhill SP reservations are open for 2017
We just made our reservations at Maryhill State Park for the weekend before Memorial Day 2017 - May 19-21. I believe it's the weekend before the Escape Rally.

This will be the eighth year we've visited this area on this weekend - we've had small 'Not Organized' gatherings and a lot of fun in the area. This get together isn’t limited to Escapes or even fiberglass rv’s – we’ve had participants in every type of rv in past years.
Campfire Friday & Potluck Saturday…..
There are pictures from previous years in the links below our signature line.

Norma, the Girls and I will be in site 50 from Wednesday 5/17 to Monday 5/22
Please join us if you can!

I already posted on the other forum but am also signed up- hope this year is the charm as I've tried this twice before and then someone scheduled something I couldn't miss the same weekend. It's such a lovely site I really want to make it this time.

FWIW...we tried to stay at MaryHill a few weeks ago without a reservation and it was full. We ended up at the Peach Beach RV campground immediately adjacent. It struck me as being in better shape than MaryHill. There is a gate in the fence between the two and it might be a nice overflow for you if extra sites were needed.

We booked site 6 for Thurs-Mon. May 18-22. We're very excited to finally make it-it never seemed to work out while we were working.

ooo, and I'll be able to see your new trailer. If I haven't already zipped over to your place by then! Call me when you get it!

We'll let you know~as you can see we are shifted to Feb~but knowing that they had just received the mold, that didn't surprise me. Our original date was Feb 23rd-so not a big deal. I don't think it would've been much fun picking it up now with it being cold-I've turned into a weather wussie!
I really like your drawer widget...am going to check it out for the silverware drawer-hopefully that can be a double decker too
(looks like it's deep enuf)
Stay warm,
Judy

Yeah, I noticed the new date. And I'm not surprised either.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's trailers (inside and out) at this rally, as well as the Spring NOG. It'll be fun to see what everyone has done with theirs and I'm sure everyone will come away with an idea or two from each trailer. Whether it's an Escape trailer or another brand.

Yeah, Dirk and I were just discussing the weather and using The Trailer. Yeah, gonna wait if it's this cold after Xmas.

Judy, you may want to use an actually silverware divider! I followed Alf's lead and this is the cutlery tray I have and it fits just fine: Rubbermaid® Cutlery Tray - Drawer, Cabinet & Counter Organization - Ace Hardware

It's the same one Alf mentions here, direct link: Mods to "Escape Hatch II"

Too, since you have a 5.0TA coming.. I don't know where you plan to store dirty laundry. I've been using a big bag and keeping it under the second stair to the loft. What a PITA, dang bag bulged at the bottom and it was next to impossible to get the bag out without emptying it. Charlie has made a solution! Check it out here, it's the third picture (direct link) http://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f8...tml#post164826

Donna~
Thank you for that-I did remember something about that, just couldn't put my finger on it . I really liked the hamper idea from Charlie-but one thing I've been thinking of is using the lower cupboard by the stairs for our hamper. We had a built in hamper alongside the stairs in our Scamp 5er and I really loved it. Since the lower cupboard only has the drawer and the outside access hatch, I'm thinking a flip up or down drawer face would work for putting laundry in-maybe a pita to get out as I'm not sure how big the hatch is. Maybe a mod for the future

We went zipping over to Ace today and got one. It's too tight and I don't feel like yanking on it when it has cutlery in it to get to stuff underneath. It does fit, but it's so tight I didn't like it.

I'll just get another tray topper from Charlie and fling my utensils in it.

Dave&Kathie had the same problem in their 21'. Kathie thought it would bind. So I "inherited" the cutlery tray and it fits FINE in Ten Forward. An 1/8" (plus or minus) can make a huge difference. Glad it works for me, sad it doesn't work for you.

Didn't work for me either. I ended up trimming the edge and just using it as a tray in the drawer.

I made the reservation a long time ago, but I recently realized that I haven't posted that we're coming to Maryhill in May. Linda and I (and maybe Luke & Smokey--depending on how well obedience classes are going ) will be in site 44 with our new 21'.

We wanted a tray that fit exactly so we purchased this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

it's also available in clear
https://www.amazon.com/koziol-Cutler...ywords=cutlery

Made in Germany and fits. Oh, and my better half likes the red.
