Possible location for 2nd Annual Eastern Escape Rally?
I just spent a wonderful weekend at the Luray KOA in Luray, VA. I love the location as it is an easy 1.5 hour drive from home. The drive is beautiful, especially along route 340 in the Shenandoah Valley.
The campground is green, clean, spacious, and surrounded by farms and the mountains.

The link worked for me. I thought that you may need to be logged into a Google account to see the photos, but it works even after I logged out. Maybe it was fixed?

Hi Lisa
I know you suggested Luray for the 1st eastern gathering. Would it likely be the same weekend as this year's? Guess that would be up to Jim and what you decide at this year's rally. We would just be happy to meet more Escape owners.
We would seriously consider it, for as much as we'd like to do the western Escape rally we are drawn more to the east because of family. In fact we have a wedding in Toronto on Labour Day weekend 2015, so could go to the Niagara Rally after that, then head to the eastern rally and perhaps on to the Atlantic coast.

I'd prefer it be someplace else next year, particularly a place I have never been to, so it can be discussed at this year's rally and if most agree, then go for it Lisa. Personally I enjoy fall weather, especially with the Escape. Looks like they are open thru mid November….

Hi: emers382... Sept. 2014 is rally month for us. Sept.5/6 is Algonac Mich. Glassic Egg Scramble, 12/13 Niagara Wine Escape, then 26/27 Eastern US. Escape Rally. Then we take a detour up from Pa. to Vt. to an impromptu gathering on the shore of Lk. Champlain then race home before our son and family arrives. Alf

It would be nice to establish a set time frame for the Annual Eastern Escape Rally (AEER?). And, like Jim, I prefer a fall weekend.
We can discuss at the upcoming 1st AEER and see how much interest is generated for September 2015. I'd be happy to take the lead for this.

I like the idea of Luray. It's a nice little town. We go to Big Meadows a couple of times a year which is close to Luray in Shenandoah NP and it's all good. I wish I could make this years rally but we are out west through september.

All I need is enough advance notice to request the time off we put in a year in advance for vacation time...:{ But I do agree with Jim it would be nice to see other places and it would be nice for it to move around so some folks don't drive as much as others etc.

That KOA mentioned in the first post looks real nice and should be pretty the first couple of weekends in October for fall foliage- I think there is a holiday on October 12th also for those who are still employed. But I'm open for suggestions for place and date. Who wants to take the lead horse on this stagecoach and get it rolling? I can bring some ETI schwag back from the rally in May/June if that helps.

We are looking forward to meeting more Escape owners and this looks excellent. We plan to come from Florida in late summer and this would fit into our plans. Keep us in the loop and let us know the when to sign up. Bob and Didgie

Currently no one had stepped up to be the "Wagon master", I may try something in late fall, until then, there is a rally planned in September in Niagara Falls, Canada - see here

Same drill let me know soonest as it may involve ahem slick day lol. I have thought of one here but .. it is very expensive to come across the bridges with a trailer and to be honest there is not much to do around here but beaches and shopping. There is a newly remodeled place within 3 miles of my house Great Camping at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Delaware Beaches | Camping in Delaware I have driven through it not much smallish park pretty flat etc .
