Reporting from Oshkosh

I am at the AirVenture Oshkosh airshow and fly-in in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The event is nearing its end. There are thousands of RVs here. Most are big rigs, but I've seen a few fiberglass campers: several Casitas, a few Scamps, and one really nice Oliver. I've seen only one other Escape-- a recent-vintage Escape 17.

A couple and one retiree have come by so far to ask about my Escape. The couple were from Ohio; they were interested in an Escape 19 and had done their research. They said they had never seen an Escape in person.

Dammit Mike, what happene3d to your big tripod? I don't want to see pictures of them big rigs -- I wanted to see a picture of your 21 next to a B-17, or at least a Mustang.

Ha! My trailer was once again at the far end of the campground, well away from the aircraft on display. People who flew in tent-camped under their planes' wings. Including them, there were 40,000 people camping at the airshow! I wish I know how many RVs were there.

There were several P-51s and a B-17 was selling rides again. No B-29 this time, though.
