Rocky Mountain Egg Rendezvous - Jun 24-27

If you're looking for a cool mountain getaway this June, this is just a reminder that the 2019 Colorado Rocky Mountain Egg Rendezvous will return to the same Nat'l Forest campground as last year: Mountain Park group site on the Poudre River west of Fort Collins.

The rally will be held June 24th through the 27. The group site is basically a parking lot with a very nice shelter, group fire pit and many tent pads (for those inclined to sleep in a tent). Room for about 20 Fiberglass trailers. There are also many individual campsites with hookups available.

www.RockyMtnEggRendezvous.com

Go to the 2019 Fiberglass RV Rally Calendar to sign up. No deposit or money is needed before the rally if you plan on staying in the group site. We will calculate the costs at the rally. Past Rendezvous were less than $20/night (usually between $10 and $15 a night).

We usually have one evening potluck if you want to join us and an evening campfire, weather permitting and no fire ban.

Gotta have a little mountain air. Iowa Dave, Rita and Jake, the smiling French Brittany,
are booked in. We went last year. This is a real nice front range campground. We took a little day trip one day up Highway 14 that goes right on by the CG. It’s up the Poudre River and it’s a real pretty creek. About 85 miles later you arrive in the town of Walden where there’s a couple Restaurants and a real open range flavor to the town. Along the way there’s a forest service museum, some additional U S Forest service campgrounds, beautiful lakes, a 10,000
Foot Pass and numerous beautiful views. Might as well not wear any socks that day because the scenery will just rip them off.
Congenial egg owners, crackling fire, first rate pot luck food and cool days with the obigatory afternoon thundershower to settle the dust. If you gotta have some three Buck Chuck from Trader Joe’s it’s not a real long run down to the tony town of Fort Collins.

No he's darker than chocolate. But on the way back he was gone and I went down in that brush and picked up a whole bunch of soft brown pebbles which when dried and coated with polyurethane made some real nice earrings that I sold at a craft show. i used the profits to buy some chocolate moose at a restaurant. Just Kidding.
In the campgrounds up the river there were dry erase boards on the doors of the outhouses with a marker and a permanent sentence that said "Last bear spotting"
and an often erased and refreshed time and date under the sentence. Not Kidding
Kind of hoped to see a mountain lion but I wasn't out in the crepuscular hours.
