Texans going to Osoyoos?

Hi,We would just like to know which Texans are going to the Appreciation Rally and what towns you are from. We would like to connect with other Texans and hopefully we could get to know each other better and share ideas an all.

I'm going thru Texas to California on my way to Osoyoos, does that count? Stopping in Amarillo for the night to visit for the Big Texan Steak House for dinner. They pick you up in a limo with horns on the hood- The Big Texan Steak Ranch - Home of the 72oz Steak

Jim, be sure to stop by the Cadillac Ranch while you are in Amarillo, if you've not yet seen it.

Hi Nancy and Walter!

Fred and Dora will be there. We retired from Dallas and currently full time in our 21' Escape. I don't think we have a site assignment yet but here is what our setup looks like. We fly the US and Texas flags.

Hi, Art and Ginger are going. We get our 21 on May 17th. We are from Canton, Texas, home of the world famous "first Monday trade days" where once a month the world comes to our door.

Iffy on the Mississippi River Rally but we have learned to never say "never"...

See you in Osoyoos. I am bringing the ladderball game and you have hereby been challenged!

There is a Texas group under GROUPS at the top of the page. Might be a good place to post if it is being maintained. No one has posted lately.

There are also California, BC, Washington and other groups.

Thanks for posting that place...will put that on the travel list...looking at the website for the museum made this camper think of a recent showing on TCM of the 1953 movie... The Long, Long Trailer with Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz....hilarious and recommended if you have not seen the movie.

We have been there and liked it. They had a little cooler exactly like one of ours from a relative. That almost puts us in the old timers category.

Walter and I, Nancy are from Abilene. recently retired. Walter loves fishing. I love quilting. We both enjoy biking and kyaking. Walter is a true Texan born and raised. I am originally a Florida gal, but have been converted into a Texan. We do go to Florida a lot. We are arriving in Osoyoos on the 22nd. We have a red Navigator SUV and our 21ft. will have red stripes. I will try to have something distinctive to mark our site. Thanks for the photo Fred you will be easy to find. I like the Flag idea!

Blessings and Safe travel everyone.
Nancy and Walter

I keep thinking it would be nice to have a Texan campout at Tyler State Park on the loop on the lake. Keep that in mind if youre interested.

Tyler sounds great to us,close by. It books up way in advance for weekends. We have our flags ready, too. Our new 21 will have tangerine graphics. Should make us a little easier to spot. We are having trouble with picking out a name. When referring to the new trailer we keep calling it by the casita name.

Hi Quilting Lady,
I too am a quilter and will be at the rally. We have a classic 5 wheel camper with a pink I love to quilt decal in the back window and a wooden sign with our name etc. titled the Great Escape. How about a fat quarter exchange indicative of our country, state/province or trailer motive. I would love to talk quilts!
Looking forward to meeting you in Osoyoos!
Beth ( not Adrian who patiently waits outside quilt shops for me in our travels)

I asked to be on the Texas group some time ago. Who is taking care of this?

I think I just signed up somewhere. We need someone to spear head this group an get us organized. We plan to continue going to Casita rallies, but an Escape rally would be great, especially for those that didn't start out with casita. I just can't volunteer right now,but would be glad to help.
