Any expected problems with the door locks getting mucked up?
I really do like the look of the windows.

Clueless about awnings - how does it stay out like that without any supports? Does it have to be extended all the way out like that? Or can it just be partially extended? Or tilted down?
Looks like another window was added to the street side. And different exhaust for the frig. At least compared to the 19' photos currently on their site for the pre-2017 version.
How much longer till we see the other sizes?
Pretty exciting reveal!

some big changes...
are those the new frame-less HEHR glass windows if a thermal window option is purchased ?
Is that as far up or the maximum angle the windows open..as in the max ventilation they provide?
does the new awning have metal supports to either the body or ground for better support in reasonable winds or light rain?
if new awning option is not purchased will the roof still have that big depression/cutout where the new awning would go?
is the previous awning with metal supports still going to be available?
looks like the sides of the Escape have flattened vertically for the new door.

Very nice! I really like the levitating awning. I was afraid the Canadians would discover antigravity before we did.

I like it because you can still tell it's an Escape. All the changes are subtle improvements. Nice work. Methinks this is going to be huge for ETI.

Some of the new changes for 2017...
Standard Rear Upper Brake/Signal Lights. (Outer upper lights shown in photo are brake/signal.)
Flat door with integrated screen door.
Larger Exterior Hatch (10x24 rather than 9x18) Photos still show smaller hatch installed.
12' Dometic Power Awning with remote.
Standard fridge is changed to Americana 5 cu. ft. 3-way RM2554 with option to upgrade to Americana Plus 6 cu. ft. 3-way DM2663 (double door).
Built-In Mirrored Medicine Cabinet in Bathroom
Larger 28 gallon fresh water tank
I will post standard features list and options list tomorrow.

The awning was something we were really excited about. Ease of use! It has an 8' extension with no need for extra arms. It has a built in wind sensor that will automatically close the awning if it senses too much wind. It is most susceptible to wind when fully extended, however you can open it only as much as needed.
The Carefree awning used on the 2016 and older model Escape will not be available on the 2017 model.
The windows shown in the photos are all opened as far as they go.
I should have the 17' photos up in the next couple of days.
