I agree that the wood in the floor has not been a concern. Of course, the oldest Escape is still young by the standards of moulded fiberglass travel trailers, so it will a many years before we really know. My ancient Boler has a plywood floor, and has no floor issues.

The reason for a different floor construction for me would be to gain insulation. A cored composite floor (as Escape is doing in increasing amounts in the roof area, for strength with an insulation side-effect) would be nice, but would sacrifice a bit of headroom, so would be best reserved for the 5.0TA, or for a major revision of other models involving an increase in the height of the shell.

My 1988 Scamp (open floor to the bottom) has zero issues. It's all about maintenance.. no matter the brand or build. Pay ATTENTION!
